The Indifferent Ex-Husband: Heartstrings in the Mall of Fate novel Chapter 266

Sophia froze, then when she snapped back to reality and tried to push him away, her hand had barely touched his chest before he grabbed it.

She struggled fiercely, tears falling harder the more she fought, while Brandon's embrace tightened and his kisses grew more forceful.

All of Sophia's resistance came to a halt under his increasingly intense and heavy kisses, morphing into a slightly vengeful smooching. Unconsciously, her hands tugged at Brandon's shirt, heedlessly vying for dominance.

Her retaliation unleashed the beast within Brandon.

When she struggled to stand and overpower him, Brandon's hand flipped and plunged into her hair, taking firm control. As his lips pressed deeper, he half-twisted her body, planting her firmly on the couch.

Their uncontrolled tangle turned into a wildfire.

The blaze spread from the couch to the bedroom.

Both hearts were heavy with anger and grievances, their physical tangle becoming the perfect outlet for their emotions.

Both were a little ruthless, throwing caution to the wind, but as they pressed on in their desperate entanglement, they slowly cooled down.

Eventually, all movements ceased.

Brandon was still holding her tight, her head buried in the crook of his neck, neither able to see the other's face.

Their skin, pressed together, was made sticky by sweat.

Once reason returned, the awkwardness hit them once again.

Sophia hesitated before nudging Brandon, not quite sure how to face him.

He didn't budge but instead held her tighter.

Sophia had no choice but to stay still, nestled in his neck.

Finally, after a while, Brandon let her go.

He stood up to fetch her some water and tidy up.

Sophia clutched the sheets, too scared to face him.

"I can take care of myself," she whispered, "You can go out first."

Brandon glanced at her, gave a gentle nod, and said, "I'll be waiting outside."

He closed the bedroom door behind him as he left.

The living room was a total mess.

The couch was all wrinkled and out of shape.

Their clothes were strewn all over the place.

Brandon called for someone to deliver a change of clothes.

They arrived swiftly.

Brandon knocked on the bedroom door. "I've had some clothes brought over."
