The Indifferent Ex-Husband: Heartstrings in the Mall of Fate novel Chapter 401

Aaron at the same time received the notification from Mr. Gellar about the Frost family's upcoming resort bid.

He was immediately on pins and needles.

With Brandon out of town on a business trip and Sophia giving him the cold shoulder, Aaron had no choice but to head to the hospital again.

But thanks to the lessons learned from his previous botched attempts, Aaron opted for a clever disguise this time.

Instead of entering outright, he slipped into a cleaner's get-up, complete with a cap and a mask, pretending he was there to take out the trash. The bodyguard, seeing his cleaner disguise and the big bag that looked like a trash sack, didn't bat an eyelid and just waved him through.

Daniel was resting with his eyes closed in bed.

He seemed to have calmed down since his brief talk with Brandon the other day. His mood had improved, and his recovery seemed to be on a decent track, no longer as sick as in the previous days.

Relieved by Daniel's partial recovery, Patricia was feeling a load off and playing on her phone. When she noticed a cleaner coming in, she barely gave a lazy glance before her eyes were glued back to her phone screen.

"Dump the trash," Patricia ordered, her eyes still on her phone, her voice devoid of any emotion. "And pick up those meal boxes on the table, give the table a wipe, and mop the floor while you're at it. Scrub the sink and the bathroom too, disinfect them—I don't know what you guys are doing, but it reeks."

Aaron was unfazed by her snobbish tone; pulling off his mask, he leaned in with a grin and announced,"It's me, Sophia's brother."

"Holy smokes."
