The Killer Queen ( Noella Briony ) novel Chapter 467

Just stepping out from the Azure backstage, Kitai walked in holding a package.

"Boss, your package."

These days, receiving snail mail was a rarity.

Upon opening it, the flamboyant handwriting danced across the page.

【Congrats on the engagement. The gift will arrive soon. Cheers, 7-Slayer.】

Noella raised an eyebrow.

"If they wanted to send a gift, they could've just sent it directly. Making such a big fuss, how embarrassing."

Kitai scratched his head, "Boss, what's he trying to do? Provoke?"

"7-Slayer is a stickler for details, just a bit old and losing his marbles."

Nonchalantly tossing the package into the trash, Noella was unfazed.

Not giving the matter a second thought!

Kitai looked worried, "This guy is cunning, always has something up his sleeve."

Noella responded coolly, "No worries, I'll outlive him."

After all, 7-Slayer was practically one foot in the grave!

"Tell Ivan to kick off the plan with BaldPeak."

"You got it!"

Meanwhile, Ivan, having ventured deep into the wilderness, received a signal from Polaris Star through a special means.

"Heh, time for a big score!"

...

On the other side.

The Baker Group was leveled overnight, all their equipment destroyed!

Millie, hearing the commotion next door, sighed.

"If this was in Imperial City, I'd have filed a noise complaint. What, trying to cover their tracks?"

But out here, noise complaints were unheard of.

Bombed? So what?

Jasper wiped the dust off his face.

"Not exactly. Criminal outfits don't want their gear getting confiscated. Take drugs, for example, the most crucial things are the recipes, the machinery, and the know-how. Losing people is one thing, but the gear? That's a major loss."

In other words, they wouldn't let their own stuff end up as dowries for others.

"The charges are inevitable. For them, it's all the same, whether it's one charge or ten, execution by firing squad once or ten times."

Millie put down her binoculars.

At the edge of the desert, a rugged jeep slowly made its way toward Lockhart Prison!

Seeing the emblem on the jeep, Millie frowned, "Have you seen this organization before, sir?"

Jasper nodded, "A special operations group from up top. When I left Northstone, it was with their help."

The flag of Lockhart Prison fell, granting the vehicle entry.

Magee handed over some documents to Millie.

"Boss, they're here to take a few prisoners."

There were about a dozen names on the list.

"As long as the paperwork's in order, let them take them."

Leaving Lockhart Prison, other than in a body bag, meant going through the proper channels!

After the prisoner transfer, the middle-aged man in the jeep removed his hood and breathed deeply.

"Freedom, sweet freedom. Just like God and his followers, we all love freedom!"

Another prisoner remarked, "Boss sending us out now doesn't seem right."

"Who cares, being out is all that matters. What about Thorpe?"

The driver spoke up, "He betrayed the boss."

Tandy chuckled.

"What a shame, thought we'd be reunited soon."
