The Killer Queen ( Noella Briony ) novel Chapter 469

Dog-Head looked at Thorpe and his brothers, his mind was blown.

"The boss let you guys out?"

Sliding into the car and buckling up, Dog-Head embodied the epitome of a law-abiding citizen.

Thorpe couldn't help but cringe.

"What do you mean 'let us out'? He sent us to take out our current boss!"

"You're quite the scaredy-cat now, aren't you?"

Dog-Head hinted, "Watch out for the speed trap ahead, don't speed, okay? My son's waiting for me to pick him up from school."

Seeing Dog-Head acting all family-man-like made the trio collectively grind their teeth in irritation.

Alright, so you're the only one with a son, huh!

Well, none of them had one!

Thorpe cursed, "Damn it, I'd love to find a lady and have kids too, but looks like I won't get that chance in this lifetime."

Hollis patted Thorpe's head.

"No worries, I can be your dad! And when you have kids, I'll be the grandpa!"

Thorpe: "…Get lost!"

Dog-Head glanced at the three of them.

"It's simple, as long as you don't mind my son being a bit off, he can take care of you guys in your old age!"

Thorpe pretended to be disgusted, "Who wants your son? Who ends up taking care of whom is still up in the air."

But the smile on his face was blossoming!

Hehe, scoring a cute son for free!

The jeep drove towards the city center, and when a traffic cop stopped them, seeing the four burly men inside, he was taken aback.

"Sorry, vehicles with out-of-town plates are restricted."

Thorpe and the brothers hadn't anticipated that their big move would be halted by a traffic restriction from outside Imperial City!

Half an hour later, a car with Imperial City plates picked up the four brothers.

They were taken directly to a quaint and elegant Western-style courtyard, with autumn leaves fluttering down, creating a picturesque setting.

Facing the elderly man with white hair sitting in the courtyard, the four men sat up straight, as docile as quails.

In unison, they greeted, "Boss!"

The old man's wrinkled hand picked up a chess piece, pondering for a moment before placing it down with satisfaction.

"Where's the driver who picked you up?"

Thorpe pinched his thigh hard.

Tears welling up, he said, "He was shot on the way here!"

"Where?"

"Near Lockhart Prison, boss, those guys are too much! They don't respect you at all!"

Tavian put down the chess piece.

"Is that so? Well, it's not surprising, they've never respected me."

"Now that you're back, there's a task for you."

Tavian adjusted his clothing and stood up, his dignified presence undiminished by age as he walked inside.

Following Tavian, a loud thud suddenly echoed in the courtyard!

Thorpe on alert said, "An earthquake? Doesn't seem like it! I'll check it out!"

In the courtyard, right where Tavian was playing chess, lay a huge wooden crate!

The spot where the chessboard was placed had sunk into a hole.

"What's this?"

Dog-Head puzzled, "Boss, is this your delivery?"

Tavian took a deep breath.

"Who delivers things like this? Check it out!"

Approaching the crate, Thorpe carefully pried open the edge, and a three-meter-tall clown popped out, muttering under its breath.

"Daddy's daddy is grandpa, daddy's mommy is grandma…"
