The Lycan’s Regret - Chasing his rejected Luna novel Chapter 3

“Pack doctor said that his chances of fighting with the wolfbane are low. I don't know from where this girl brought the strongest version of silver but it was more lethal than the normal one.” Sirus Lockheed informed Theodore with a sigh.

His father was in an induced coma which was rendered by the Pack doctor to save his brain from infection caused by the poison given to him. His lycan was already dying inside him but to save his human form the doctor had to put him to sleep to heal himself.

Theodore had his eyes closed as He leaned on the chair in his office. How can a human girl play all of them? He felt something fishy about this. Or someone from his packhouse was helping her?

‘King, George Cortez is here!” Denzer, his beta mind-linked him.

“Send him in!” Theodore replied as He looked down at the paper on the table where Xylia's all details were given which He didn't enquire about three months ago. And George Cortez was going to get the punishment of every fucking lie, He has been telling him and his father till now.

“You may leave, Uncle.” Theodore ordered Sirus, who stared at Theodore for a few seconds and left silently.

Denzer entered his office with George who greeted Theodore with a deep bow in fear as He knew about his daughter’s stunt. He swallowed his saliva cursing Xylia in his mind as both of his daughters brought disgrace to him. As soon as the door closed, George fell on his knees in front of his King.

"I beg your pardon, King. Please forgive me. I swear I didn't know Xylia could ever do such a vile thing. I know I can't rectify her mistake so I won't beg you for her life. That… that foolish human must be punished for her sins.” Theodore raised his eyebrows and exchanged a glance with Denzer, his beta, who shrugged his shoulders seeing the new drama of George Cortez. The Cortez family was never good news to them and Theodore already knew it when his father’s gamma (George) proposed his elder sister's marriage to him. But she eloped with her lover disgracing the two families but to save their asses George Cortez proposed his younger daughter Xylia to him.

Theodore tilted his head and blinked his eyes in wonder at what kind of Father George Cortez was. He could see the contempt and disappointment for Xylia in his eyes. George met Theodore’s gaze for a second and his hands shivered seeing that calm, void features of him. That look he knew very well. Everyone knows.

Theodore Lockheed doesn't give warning before splitting something or someone. That's why his enemies never know his next step before suffering annihilation.

The dangerous lycan has been known as the lethal King.

“She never listens to us, I know being a parent I should have taught her lessons but Alpha Anthony didn't allow me to punish her for her humanly mistakes. So we sent her away from the Packdom to let her study among humans. I guess she learned some human things and forgot how our world works. I apologise, King. But You can do anything with her, even if you kill her we won't even blink eyes. That's what she deserves.”

Theodore could sense how hard he was trying to save his ass by holding his daughter on the tip of his sword. Theodore stood up and walked to him before grabbing the paper from the table.

George’s heart slowed down as his wolf whimpered because he knew there was no escape from Theodore’s wrath. His daughters ruined everything for him to become the elite member in the packdom. They not only committed sins but they did it against the King himself.

Theodore hurled a few papers at George’s sitting form on knees in the floor.

“You and your daughters brought nothing but shame to the Lockheed family, to me, George. They deserved nothing but death, including you…”

George's eyes widened as he looked at the floor. If by that time Xylia were in front of him, he could have skinned her alive.

“But before that I want to hear something from you.” Theodore stood in front of him. “Look at these papers and tell me the truth, George. How old is Xylia Cortez?”

George’s spine chilled as he looked at one particular paper which stated the real age of Xylia. He thought nobody would ever know as her age wouldn't matter to anyone but now it does. Because he married her off to the Lycan King by lying. Lying about her age.

“Seventeen-year-old Xylia Cortez was doing her fashion degree when you called her back three months ago for marrying her to me saying that she is eighteen. She didn't have any boyfriend or past relationship. She will never defy me, she will be my perfect Luna.” Theodore stated before crouching to his level and smirking devilishly.

“Xylis is not like Amelia and she will obey me mutely!” Theodore grabbed the paper where all information from her childhood to her college, friends, her crush and everything was given. His stormy eyes darkened into the shade of black as the rage erupted in his entire being and his Lycan surfaced.
