The Man in Power After Being Married into Her Family novel Chapter 2002

How she wished Elaine was indeed as pitiful as how she had described her! In fact, the more pitiful was Elaine, the better! i

Nonetheless, the caterer didn’t know she was lying at all.

Who would have thought any ordinary old lady would curse her own family members out of the blue?

Therefore, the caterer believed everything that came from her mouth was true.

She replied with sympathy, "No wonder you still have t o work outside at such an old age. It must be very tough for you to have experienced all those misfortunes in your family!” 1

She then said, "Old lady, there're still some leftovers of about seven to eight steamed buns and the portion of remaining rice is sufficient for four people. Also, there are some remnants of dishes. Do you have any containers? I'll pack for you to bring home!" 1

Lady Wilson felt very excited, yet, she calmed herself and said melancholically, "How can I afford any containers? Both my daughters-in-laws are barely surviving due to starvation..."

She looked at the plastic bags hanging on the side of the counter. She then blurted out, "Why not pack all those leftovers into the plastic bags for me to bring

them home?"

The caterer nodded her head quickly, "It’s definitely okay for me as long as you’re fine with that!"

Lady Wilson said hurriedly, "Of course I'm fine with that!"

The caterer put all those leftovers into four plastic bags very swiftly.

At this moment, Lady Wilson felt a bit regretful. She thought to herself, Oh dear! How should I carry all these heavy plastic bags home?

On second thought, she told herself, No way! I must carry them home no matter how. Our family should be able to survive for at least two days with this food.

Otherwise, how much food can I buy with only one hundred Oskian dollars?
