It was precisely because of this that Sheldon did not even dare to take a single step out of Australia until his father had spoken up although he was very worried about Sophie's safety. 2
He did not even dare to call to question Lord Schulz about this matter. This was because he knew very well that he would suffer an even worse fate if he were to make the old man angry and frustrated.
Jaime was still young, and he had never really experienced much in his life. The biggest and most serious experience that he had ever encountered in his life was when he had been kidnapped back in Japan.
In truth, he had already panicked when he had gotten kidnapped the last time.
He had been frightened to death, and he could not calm himself down at all. He was not even half as calm as his sister, Sophie, was. So, the huge pressure and stress that Jaime bore at this time made him feel as though he could not breathe or catch his breath at all. 5
He desperately hoped for his father to come back so that he could become his pillar of support. However, even though he dared to disobey Lord Schulz, his
father did not dare to do so. 5
When Jaime heard his father asking him to wait longer, Jaime could not control his emotions anymore, and he shouted angrily, "You want to continue waiting?! What else are you waiting for?! Are you going to wait until you receive news about Mom and Sophie's death before you come back home to attend their funeral, then?!"
Sheldon felt as though every single word that his son had just said were tight slaps across his face. Each and every one of those words made him feel as though his heart was bleeding.
However, Sheldon did not have any other choice at this time. 3
He had far more experiences in life as compared to Jaime.
He knew how to intentionally lose out a little in order t o win some other form of advantages in the future, and he also knew how to plan and strategize before he took any actions.
