Elaine stretched out her hand, wanting to touch the gold statue. She did not expect Jacob to suddenly take out the car keys and lock the car.
The Cullinan beeped. Immediately, the gold statue sank inside its hood. Then, a metal cover slid over from the side, completely covering the original position of the gold statue.
Elaine saw the gold statue suddenly sink into the hood just as she was about to touch it. She exclaimed i n surprise, "Oh my god! You can hide this? That’s amazing!”
Jacob sneered sarcastically, "Just look at your ignorance! This gold statue is easily worth two hundred thousand. If someone as greedy as you saw i t, they'd break the gold statue off! Therefore, Rolls-Royce made a user-friendly design to prevent greedy people like you from destroying it. The gold statue will automatically stay hidden as long as the car is locked."
Jacob kept mocking Elaine for her lack of knowledge. I f he were to ridicule her to such an extent on a usual day, she would've been enraged and fought back.
This time, however, she didn't act up at all. Instead, she peered at Jacob with a flattering expression. The new car both excited and puzzled her, so she asked," Jacob, where did you get the car? Did you borrow it?"
Jacob exclaimed arrogantly, "I don't like the way you speak. Borrow it? What do you mean by that? This car belongs to me! It's legally mine!"
Jacob then took out a vehicle registration certificate from the Cullinan and shoved it into Elaine's hands.
He snorted out a gleeful laugh and exclaimed proudly, "Look at this. Look at it carefully! Look at the name on the vehicle registration certificate!"
Elaine quickly opened the vehicle registration certificate and looked at the owner's name. Indeed, Jacob's full name was written on it. Shocked, she asked again, "Oh my! Jacob! The car is yours? This...? What's going on? How can you afford such an expensive car?!"
Claire had just come home from work when the commotion happened. She was shocked to see the brand new Cullinan the moment she walked into the yard. "Dad, this...? Why's there a Cullinan here?!"
