Sherry asked hurriedly, "Miss, does that mean that the enemy came for Mr. Larson?"
Kathleen muttered, "That may not be the case. He might not be the real target.
However, I feel that I won't be in any danger for the time being. The enemy is strong, but since he's letting me go, he may have realized Mr. Larson's strength.
Perhaps he deemed Mr. Larson a threat in Aurous Hill, so he attacked Mr. Larson..."
Sherry was puzzled by Kathleen's assumption. "But all this is too strange... M r. Larson is indeed very strong. However, h e had never shown his ability or attacked anyone in Aurous Hill. Besides, he's just a bodyguard, not a killer. He’s not an active threat to others. Why would the enemy target him?"
Kathleen pursed her lips. "That's what I'm trying to figure out now..."
She was interrupted mid-sentence by the sudden ringing of her phone. The one who called was her grandfather, Jordan Fox.
Kathleen hastily grabbed her phone and strode to the inner room. Once she was in her bedroom, she answered the call.
She greeted respectfully, "Grandpa."
Jordan asked anxiously, "Kathleen, where are you now?"
Kathleen replied, "I'm already back at the hotel."
Jordan asked again, "Is there still no news from Julian?"
