Harper broke out in cold sweat upon hearing that.
He was horrified and secretly thought,' Quinn is leaving? If she leaves, won't Master and Finley’s plan be in vain?!'
As Homer’s most trusted assistant, Harper knew almost everything about Homer. When Finley had secretly flown to New York, Harper was the one who had gone to JFK to take him back to the Fox family.
Harper was well-aware of Homer’s plan today, so he could not allow Quinn to leave just yet. He tried to stall them, and he said," No signal? That’s impossible! Is there a misunderstanding here?"
Charlie firmly said, “Our bodyguards told u s that the walkie-talkie and phone signals suddenly disappeared, which was very weird. They've just left to inform the bodyguards outside. They'll come and take Miss Golding away soon."
With that being said, Charlie put on a stern face and explained, "Even if this is a misunderstanding, we can't risk Miss Golding's safety! Please understand!"
Harper hurriedly said, "Umm... Please stay calm... We're heavily guarded here, so there’s absolutely no possibility of any security problems! As for the signal problem you've mentioned, I think it may b e a technical fault. We have a lot of electronic devices here, especially audio amplifiers and wireless microphones, so perhaps the signal problem happened due t o the interference between the radio signals. Please wait a moment. I'll go and talk to our young master!"
Charlie waved his hand and dismissed him, "How about this. You can inform Mr. Fox about this. We'll leave now. If there are any problems, we can communicate by phone."
Harper panicked upon hearing that, and he blurted out almost immediately, "You can't leave now! Mr. Fox is about to give his speech on stage soon! If Miss Golding leaves so suddenly, it'll embarrass him! Mr. Fox is the Fox family's eldest young master, you have to respect him!"
Charlie appeared to look troubled and gave i t some thought. He then relaxed a little and quickly urged, "Why don't you let Mr. Fox know about this? We’ll apologize to him face-to-face. I trust Mr. Fox is a reasonable man and will understand our circumstances!"
Quinn also said apologetically, “Sorry to trouble you. Please tell Mr. Fox to come over if possible. I'll explain it to him about this in person. I’m so sorry about this.”
