Upon saying that, Merlin took out his name card and passed it to Xavion.
Merlin indifferently said, "Think carefully about it. If you decide to cooperate, please contact me quickly. We don’t have much time left. I'm sure you wouldn't want to collect your son's corpse after the fortyeight-hour deadline. Also, I'm going to retire soon. I don't want to leave such a case unsolved before my retirement."
Xavion looked shocked and horrified, and he mindlessly accepted Merlin's name card and seemed as though he wanted to say something.
However, before Xavion could even form his sentence, Merlin carefreely bade them farewell and turned to leave.
"Goodbye!”
After Merlin had left, Xavion restlessly told his father, Spencer, "Dad... Merlin is right! This is so weird!"
Spencer's expression was ugly and a little panicked as he asked, "What does he mean by a big scandal? Is it about your grandfather? No matter what, I seized power legally and became the head of the family. Even if it ends up as a lawsuit, I won't lose in court!"
"What's illegal is the part where I didn't allow him to come back and quietly sent someone after him. However, I didn't succeed! Even if this is exposed, I can deny it. What kind of impact could it possibly have? It won't be a big scandal, right?"
Xavion softly nodded. He smacked his lips and said, "I don't think so... We'll be guilty if we did hurt grandpa, but we didn’t succeed... We even lost track of his whereabouts..."
Spencer returned to his seat and sat down, panicking a little as he asked, "What does Merlin mean... Xavion, do you have any scandals that I don’t know of?"
"Huh? Me?" Xavion became a little nervous. He faltered but was unable to speak.
Spencer slammed the table angrily and shouted, "Why are you hesitating?! Hurry up and say it!"
