Oskiatown.
When Charlie and Quinn arrived at Janus' roast goose restaurant, it was to find him busy cleaning up together with his other workers.
It was already long past noon, and there were no more customers in the restaurant. Quinn was also not worried about getting recognized, so she simply put on a mask and entered the restaurant with Charlie without any care in the world.
As soon as both went past the door, the sensor rang, reminding Janus that there were guests. The busy man spoke without raising his head, "Sorry, we are closed."
Charlie smiled. "Feel free to prepare something for us to eat. We haven't eaten
yet.'
Upon hearing Charlie’s voice, Janus turned his head and saw that Charlie was here together with Quinn. Delighted, he smiled and said joyfully, "Oh, my! Why haven't the both of you eaten until now?"
Quinn hooked Charlie's arm and greeted daintily, "Hello, Uncle Janus!"
Charlie's smile widened. "Uncle Janus, we went for a walk at the Fox family's manor around noon. We were originally planning to have a meal there, but our plans went down the drain.”
Quinn pretended to be dissatisfied and mumbled discontentedly, "You were the one who insisted on letting the father and son duo drink. As a result, you lost your appetite after they fell unconscious!"
When Janus heard this, he grinned. "Oh dear, it seems there's a story to it. You two should hurry upstairs and take a seat first. I'll prepare some food. We can sit down together afterwards, and you can tell me everything."
Charlie nodded, still smiling. "Well then, Uncle Janu. We'll head upstairs and wait for you."
Quinn also grinned happily and exclaimed, "Uncle Janus, I want to eat two roasted squabs!"
Janus laughed. "Okay. Head upstairs first while I get ready."
Charlie and Quinn went up the stairs together. Before they got to the second floor, they heard another ringing at the door that was soon followed by a somewhat familiar voice. "Boss, table for two." Charlie subconsciously stopped in his tracks. He squatted slightly and glanced at the two newcomers through the gap of the stairs.
