Charlie could see the determination blazing in Janus's eyes. He knew he couldn't force his Janus regarding this matter. If Charlie wanted Janus to let go of the past and move forward, he would have to leave the matter in Janus's hands.

Charlie could get the Ten Thousand Armies to escort Janus back to Hong Kong and make Shawn submit by force. Even so, Janus wouldn't accept it. He would never get over it.

Charlie had thought of using a different rhetoric to convince Janus to come to Oskia with him. Janus had an agreement with Shawn not to return to Hong Kong, but he never said he wouldn't return to Oskia. Even if Janus couldn't go to Hong Kong, he could still follow Charlie to Oskia.

Charlie could use Janus’s help in the Wade Group. Shawn might eventually learn about Janus's return, but with the Wade Group’s support and influence, he wouldn't be able to question it.

Therefore, Charlie decided to wait. Once Claire's master classes in the United States were over, he would go to Hong Kong and have a good chat with Shawn Long. Hopefully, he could convince Shawn to take back his demand to Janus, so that Janus could return to Hong Kong without reservations.

After Janus had returned to Hong Kong and cleared his worries, Charlie would invite him to work for him.

Having made up his mind, Charlie stood up and told Janus, "Janus, I understand your concerns. Don’t worry. I swear, I won’t force the other party. If I’m strong enough, I'll convince Shawn to come to New York to invite you back. If I fail, I won't use my strength to force Shawn to submit."

Janus wanted to say something, but he hesitated and held back.

He looked at Charlie and nodded gratefully. "Thank you, Mr. Wade. I understand.”

Charlie checked the time. "Janus, I'm still busy with some of my matters, so I'll be leaving. Did Nana invite you to her concert tomorrow? If you have time, we can meet there.”

Janus shook his head. "I won’t be going to Miss Golding’s concert. Christian should still be in Los Angeles. For now, Merlin's attention is focused on the Fox Group.

Once they finish their work, they'll probably come to ask me about Miss Fox."

"I was with Miss Golding when Homer disappeared that day. Hopefully, Merlin wouldn't recognize me. If he didn't, I can just say that Miss Golding came to the shop for a simple meal. I'll tell him that I’m just trying to make a living, so I don’t know anything about a famous star."

"If they didn't know about my relationship with Miss Golding, I'd probably get a pass. But if they found out that I went to see her concert, it'd complicate matters. It'll be hard to explain myself, and Merlin may remember me too."
