The Man In Rage novel Chapter 1249

"Alright then. Since you're so insistent, I'll bring you along. But once we're in there, you are not to be disobedient, and don't simply go around doing things on your own. If you end up dying somewhere deep inside the rainforest, don't blame me for it.” Ye Fan eventually agreed to taking Angie into the forest with him.

"Thank you! Don't worry, once we enter the rainforest, I'll listen to everything you say and I won't make any trouble for you," said the young lady excitedly. Her tinkling laughter sounded beautiful in the dark night.

"Let's look for a place to stay first, shall we? We'll head for the rainforest first thing tomorrow morning," said Ye Fan as he took Angie with him to look for a hotel.

He couldn't be bothered to look for Kong Ming and the rest.

The only worth they had in the first place was probably helping him to find the spirit energy fruit trees.

But with Angie around, the only worth they had was no longer of any value, so Ye Fan didn't see the need to move around with those three.

"You mean you didn't book a hotel beforehand? If you didn't, then you can stay with me.”

Angie had booked a hotel way before coming to this city, so she led Ye Fan to where she was staying since he didn't seem to have a place to stay.

But after arriving at the hotel, Angie didn't intend to rest for the day. After letting Ye Fan put his things down, she dragged him out with her to do some shopping.

She had done a lot of homework before coming to this place.

The forest was huge and it was hard to say when she would be able to come out of it. The forest was also filled with insects, and food and water was sometimes hard to come by as well.

She ended up purchasing two gigantic backpacks, as well as enough food and medication to fill up both backpacks to its maximum, before finally returning to the hotel with Ye Fan.

"Why did you buy so much? We're not going to the desert. There are many plants in the rainforest, so we can always eat fruits if we're hungry and drink from the river if we're thirsty. You won't go hungry in there,” said Ye Fan helplessly as he shook his head.

"That's hard to say. What if the fruits are poisonous? And you might not get clean drinkable water either. Besides, this trip is filled with great dangers, so it's nice to reward yourself with good food and drink other than taking a rest from time to time. Life is short, so we all ought to treat ourselves a little better," said Angie very seriously to Ye Fan as she checked through all the items she wanted to bring along the next day.

Ye Fan smiled even more brightly after hearing this. "You really know how to enjoy life, eh? Alright then, if you want to bring all these along, go ahead. I'm not the one spending any money but I get to eat and drink this stuff, so I don't have any objections."

But immediately after Ye Fan said this, Angie turned to glare at Ye Fan. "Faaaan, there's no free lunch in the world, you know? If you want a share of all this, then you've got to carry this huge bag!"

After spending half the day with him, the two of them had become familiar with one another, and Angie started calling him 'Fan' as well after he told her his name.

"What on earth?! So this was a trap all along?!" Ye Fan stared at the black backpack that was almost as tall as himself.

The night passed quickly.

Once the first sunrays hit the land, a new day arrived.

At the same time, teams of martial artists hailing from many different countries who had rested the night before started to make their way towards the nearby Amazon rainforest.

"Where's Ye Fan? Why isn't he here yet?" Kong Ming only realized that one of his team of four was missing after they had finished getting ready and were good to go. After looking around the hotel, they couldn't find any trace of Ye Fan at all.

"Oh wait, did Ye Fan come back to the hotel with us yesterday?" asked Kong Ming when he suddenly remembered what happened the day before.
