The four sons of the Perez family shifted their curious gazes onto Jasper, who solemnly opened a velvet-lined box, revealing its contents.
Inside, a pearl emitted a faint glow. Even under the bright daylight, its soft luminescence was unmistakable. Jasper cupped the pearl in his hand, casting a brighter light within his palm. It was a Moonstone, its starting price running into the billions.
Maddox couldn't help but feel envious upon seeing the Moonstone. He desperately wanted to ask his dad if he had any more Moonstones to spare, maybe even gift him one.
The third child of the Perez family, Sasha, was visibly shocked. Tears welled up in her eyes as she looked at Jasper, "Dad, the family has done so much for me, I don't even know what to say!"
Seeing his precious daughter in tears, Jasper quickly went to dry her eyes, "There, there, no need to ruin your makeup. You know how important that is for a young lady. You're naturally beautiful, Sasha, but redoing your makeup would be such a hassle!"
"Sasha, I'd do anything for you. Moonstones like these, dad has a whole collection in every color. Pick whichever you like!"
Maddox's heart ached. He thought, "It should be me crying, not Sasha!"
Sasha hugged Jasper tightly, "Dad, you've always had me, no matter what happens. I'll always be by your side, looking after you with Arthur and Vivienne."
Hearing this, Jasper was deeply moved. If Sasha wanted the moon from the sky, he'd find a way to bring it to her.
"Alright, let's head to the front hall," Jasper suggested, leading the Perez family out.
In the front hall, the Ellington family had reserved the first row for the Perez family. Arthur stood tall among the crowd, wearing a tailored black tuxedo, looking every bit the part of a handsome, mature man.
He was holding a champagne flute, toasting the guests, his face radiating joy.
Percival, seated, looked at his father-in-law with a slight smile on his face.
Absentmindedly, he reached for Vivienne's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze, signaling her to look over.
Vivienne, enjoying a slice of strawberry cheesecake, glanced up, "Looks like mom got her wish. It's a beautiful outcome."
Her calm eyes sparked with interest when she spotted a man conversing with Arthur. As someone who appreciated good looks, she found him as attractive as Mr. Wolf.
She alternated between savoring bites of her cheesecake and stealing glances at the man.
Percival, noticing Vivienne's distraction, narrowed his eyes dangerously and turned to follow her gaze.
His expression grew cold as he turned Vivienne's face towards him, "Vivienne, you shouldn't be looking at anyone but me."
"Mr. Wolf, you look even more handsome like this! I'll listen to you," Vivienne's eyes twinkled with admiration.
Percival let out a sigh, unable to stay frustrated with her, "See you in a bit," Vivienne said, pecking Percival on the cheek, leaving a trace of strawberry sweetness.
