The Playboy’s Downfall novel Chapter 75

ZERO’S kisses and touch are killing her inside. She wants to push him away, but her mind won’t cooperate. Instead, she kissed him back. She threw back the pleasure that he was giving and started to run at his pace. The heat started to electrify her body; his warm lips devour hers gently as if it was the most precious thing to him.

And she knows after this, she will get insane, overthinking that Zero really loves her. But the man himself told her that there was no chance between them. He’s not capable of loving anyone else, which she wanted to laugh at.

Zero is lying—she could feel it. But what else she could do if it was his way?

Zero’s hand went down to her shoulder until it reached her left breast. A moan slipped out of her mouth. “Hmm…”

Suddenly, Zero’s kisses trailed down to her neck. He ran his hands into her hips and guided her towards the bed. Slowly, he lay her down on the soft, comfy sheet.

He claimed her lips again as his hand went inside her dress. He curled the hem of her dress as he continued to savor her lips and run his kisses into her jaw, down to her neck. He pulled up and met her gaze while he took off her dress.

Isla let him. She never complained—and why would she? This is what she wanted, right? But the fact that this will be their last, she can’t help but feel hurt, and unconsciously, she felt something that was streaming in her cheeks down to the sheets.

Zero’s forehead creased, and he let go of her. “I’m sorry,” he uttered.

Isla smiled and wiped her tears. “No, it’s okay. Don’t mind it. Go on. And please don’t let me beg,” she asserted. Applause for herself because she didn’t even stutter while she talked.

Zero shook his head. “I’m sorry if I pushed us into this again. I just want to—”

“Then go. You don’t have to be sorry, and I want you, Zero. I want you so bad that it kills me if you do not continue it,” she mumbled. She wiped her tears immediately before they fell onto her cheeks.

“A-Are you sure?” he asked.

Zero wants her too—he wants to claim her, but when he saw her teary eyes, a pang of pain pierced his heart.

“Do you think we need to continue—”

“Zero…” she wiped her tears, “please,” she begged.

Zero let out a faint smile. Her voice is hurting him. Damn it, and he cursed inside his head. He then started to take off his clothes one by one until nothing covered his body.
