“THIS is your choice, Zero. So, why are you still showing your concern?” It was Apollo’s voice that roared on the other line.
Zero sighed as he drank his can of beer.
“Is she really okay? Why don’t you bring her to the hos—”
“Zero, don’t be paranoid. It was just stress. Her body badly needed a proper rest, and it’s good that you already cut ties with her. I warned you before, and I know my sister is hardheaded. However, you’re older. It was you who was supposed to move away—”
“I’m doing it already, Apollo. Just call me again when she wakes up. Bye,” Zero uttered and ended the call.
Apollo heaved a deep sigh as he stared at his sister, that is lying on the sofa. He didn’t bother to call a doctor since he knew Isla’s body was shocked because of the drama earlier.
If only it weren’t a plan, Apollo might have punched Zero’s face.
He stood up and went to the kitchen to make a coffee, and once done, he got back and gasped in shock when he saw Isla’s eyes were opened, but the most shocking part was that tears were pouring from her eyes.
“Princess…” he mumbled and walked closer to her.
Isla got up and glanced at her Apollo. “A-Apollo…” she whispered. She wiped her tears and bit her lower lip.
Zero’s last words keep on echoing inside her, making her shake her head and mumble, “no.”
Apollo put down the cup of coffee and sat beside her. “Princess—”
“A-Aren’t you mad at me?” Isla asked.
Apollo flashed a smile. “No. I’m not mad at you. Do you know whom I’m made of?” he asked.
Isla sighed and nodded.
“I warned you that engaging yourself deeper with Zero isn’t a good idea. Because I know he will still hurt you in the end,” Apollo stated.
She nodded. “I… I know. However, I didn’t… regret that I met him—that he became a part of my life,” she replied and wiped the tears that fell to her cheeks.
Apollo nodded and held her hands. “Are you sure you’re gonna be alright?”
Isla tried to smile, but it turned out to be a grimace. “I… I don’t know.”
Apollo can’t help but feel pity toward her sister. “Come here,” Apollo spread his arms wide open, “—let me hug you,” he added.
Isla didn’t hesitate and threw herself into her brother’s embrace and cried again. Apollo lets her cry inside his embrace, and he caresses her back.
After a few moments, silence filled in. Apollo’s forehead creased when he couldn’t hear his sister crying. He slowly pushes Isla away from him. He smiled and shook his head when he saw her eyes shut. It seems her sister is really tired from this day.
