THE REJECTED LUNA.

THE GIRL WITHOUT A WOLF.

CHAPTER 29.

Jane’s stance.

"Please," she whimpered. "Please, pardon her, my king. She was crying. I can see the tears coming out of her eyes. The alpha king dropped me to the harsh ground. 

"Thank your stars. You are lucky. "I'm going to pardon you today," he said. The next time you try to pick a fight with any of my pack members, consider yourself dead. Do i make myself clear?

I’m still coughing. "Do you understand me? He asked me.

Cough!! Cough!!! Cough!!! "Yes, I understand," I answered him in the middle of my coughing.

"Take Kira to the pack healer," he told the guards. "Make sure you keep an eye on her. June rushed to me immediately after he left. She seemed worried. 

"Jane, are you okay? She asked.

"Yes, I think I am," I replied. "Thank you for saving me."

"No thanks between us," she utters. We are friends.

June saved me because he was determined to hurt and kill me. I’m still weak and my wolf is just getting better. June lifted me from the floor.

"Come here, you need to rest," she said. "Let me walk you to our room. She laid me on my bed when we entered the room.

"June, the way the alpha king treats you is horrible. My eyes can’t seem to believe what just happened. He is the king. Why did he grab your neck like that? She said as she continued. "Do you know him before? He seems hostile towards you. I feel he sees you as a threat.

I sigh! I have always known he sees me as a threat. What can I do about that? I am more powerful than he is, and I destroyed his once flawless face. I made him turn ugly. He won’t easily forgive me for that. I won’t lie to her anymore.

"He’s my mate!" I yelled.

"Whattt!!" she screamed. "What are you talking about, Jane? Are you saying the alpha king is your mate? If so, then why are you here? You are supposed to be our luna. Why are you serving him as a maid instead of his mate?

"Where should I start from, June? I asked her. " You are asking many questions at a time." The alpha king is my fated mate, but i got rejected by him when I had no wolf. I was wolfless at the time i met him.

She gasps, "He rejected you? She asked. What a cruel king. He knows you had no wolf and he still rejects you. I’m so mad at the king. He has a cruel heart. Why will he treat you like that? I thought he was a nice king. I guess I was wrong about him. 

I stare at her speechlessly. She is yet to hear the whole story, and she is already so mad at the little she heard about him. 

"Wait! If he rejects you, then why did you come to his pack to be a maid? Are you running after him? She asked. Don’t tell me you want to impress him by coming to his pack to serve as a maid. He doesn’t deserve the sacrifice you are making. Why would you work as a maid just to stay by his side.

Whatt? She thinks I masked myself as a maid just to be by his side.

"Do you think I can do that for someone who coldly rejects me in front of everyone? I inquired. "Do you think I want to stay by his side?

"Then tell me, why are you here? She asked. "Why  are you in his pack?

"I’m here because he forced me! I cried out. He rejects me and wants me to accept him again after learning I have a strong wolf. I refused him and ended up in the cell, then the torture room, and finally being transferred and forced to be his maid. I am unable to do any of this. I'm unwillingly. I don’t want to be here. I don’t want to see his face. I explain everything to June. She listened carefully as I let out my frustration. She suddenly pulled me into a hug. "You pass through a lot, Jane. I’m so sorry. "That jerk wanted to snatch your life from you. We will plan your escape. You must leave here, but first you need some rest. Your wolf needs to rest as well. Sleep well. I will watch over you. I drift into my sleep. I sleep so peacefully knowing she is by my side. I missed Amira and Ella. I hope they are okay. I want to communicate with them, but i can’t and they won’t be able to see me if I am here. Even if they come to find me here, they won’t be able to see me. This place is a cage. I will never be able to move freely. I stirred and opened my eyes. I have no idea how long I've slept, but I can feel how relaxed I was.

"You are awake!" I hear June's worried voice. What is happening?

"What happened, June? I asked her.

"We have a new head maid,"  she muttered. Her name is Prisicilla. She is Kira's goddaughter. I hear she volunteered herself to be the head maid.

"Okay. I asked. "Then why are you worried?"

"Don't you get it, Jane? She tells. She is here to avenge her godmother. She’s here for you. She‘s more bitchy than she is. I hate everything about her.

"Then, she should come.  I’m not afraid of her, "I mutter. I will break her bones. I will let her accompany her godmother to the pack hosiptal.

"This is what I am trying to say. She whispers. "Do you remember the Alpha King warning? He is going to kill you if you fight her. I am worried that she will find your trouble.

I am not even afraid of the alpha king. She never saw me fight a real battle, which is why she thinks he can kill me. I hope Amber finds her strength soon. I won’t hesitate to kill him when the time comes.

"Don’t be worried, June. I’ll be fine.

The next day, we took a bath and headed over for breakfast.
