The Soldier's Unsurpassable Honor novel Chapter 1428

"The Woods family has made a great earning this time. Who would've thought they would snag two first-place positions!”

"That's right. It's like the saying, ‘You can't judge a person by appearance, just as you can't judge riches by measurement.' The Woods family's young master is truly favored by the gods. He managed to get first place with his intermediate stage of true-god level's fighting prowess, and he had gotten so many tokens!"

"He might've been lucky. After all, this competition is about finding tokens, and there’s no need to fight with others. I’m sure that he wouldn't be able to fight the other freaks who are in the final stage of the true-god level!" Many of the people surrounding them also started to discuss among themselves.

Darryl then came forward toward Quentin and, thinking it through, asked, "Master Hunt, do you truly think the eldest young master isn't dead? If he wasn't, the formation would've sent him out, right?”

Quentin nodded and said, "There’s still such a possibility. This is the first time we've used this formation, and there's a possibility that it failed to sense him. Apart from that, what if my son pretended to be dead? What I can confirm right now is that the connection between me and Cloud is still obviously there. The connection will always be there if I don't cut it off or if he's truly dead."

Quentin looked at the forest in front of him at this moment and continued, "Regardless of that, the close connection is still there, and this means he's definitely alive!” "There might be a possibility that the formation failed to sense him? Maybe it can't sense those who are badly hurt?" Darryl also frowned before his eyes lit up faintly. He then turned around and yelled to their First Elder, "First Elder, First Elder! Bring some people with you and go in for a search. See if you can find some of the Norman family's geniuses and if my three sons are still alive. Nobody had ever used this formation previously, and this is the first time it's used. It might not have accurately detected everyone's status in that forest!"

"Alright, alright! I’ll bring some people in for a search!" The eyes of the Norman family's First Elder also lit up when he heard this. His grandson had died inside, and it would be best if what Darryl said was true. What if his grandson was still alive?

"It’s like what I've said: how could so many people be dead? There might be people who weren't sent out because the formation can’t sense them!" rushed the master of a family. Around half of the contestants from their family had died, and such a matter was somewhat unacceptable.

Many of the families sent people in for a search after they heard this.

"Fane, should we send somebody in for a search?" Nash glanced at Fane. He believed that what was shown on the screen was definitely correct. The spots that disappeared one after another surely meant deaths.

Fane thought about it and said softly, “Yes, send some people in as a ruse."

Nash nodded and pretentiously sent people in to search.

The Cabellos and Lancasters also sent some people in for a search when they saw that the Woods had sent some people into the forest.

Since everybody had gone in for a search, none of them were impolite enough to leave. Fane also could not tell Nash on the spot that he was the one who killed all three young masters of the Norman family and both young masters from the Hunt family. With that, everyone else had to wait out there.

About two to three days later, those who went in to search for possible survivors had returned, though with dispirited expressions as they came out fruitless.

"Impossible; I can still feel the connection. Could there be something wrong with this secret technique of mine?" Quentin still could not believe that his eldest son had died. He shook his head continuously when he received the report from the First Elder and the others.

"Master, let's face the truth. We... We found the eldest young master's body and it...it had been separated into two halves. He can't be alive!"
