Yet, some things could not be said. After all, Rudy was still beside them. He could not put himself down! Probably because they could see through Trevor's worries, one of the disciples from the Pentagram Clan whispered, "Trevor, don't worry. The caretakers aren't gods. There's no way they can tell which one of them is stronger just from a look. They’re just relying on their intuition. If the caretaker actually understood the two of them, the odds would not be like that. The odds might even be the exact opposite!"
Trevor nodded slightly, "You're right. It's not like the caretakers can judge everything accurately. It's probably because of Ethan's bad temper. The caretakers probably feel like a bad attitude means having horrible skills. That's why the odds are so high!"
The disciple behind him nodded vigorously, "Fane's just an alchemist. Didn't Ethan say so before? Fane has no background.
"An alchemist like him is lucky enough to be good at alchemy. He definitely put most of his time into alchemy, not having any time for martial training at all! That's why we don't have to worry that much. I believe in Ethan!”
After saying that, the other disciples of the Pentagram clan expressed their support for Ethan. They did not know much about Fane, but they knew Ethan very well.
Ethan’s skills might not be comparable to notable warriors, but among alchemists, he stood at the top.
There was not a single alchemist from the Pentagram clan who could beat Ethan. Since that was the case, then Fane was definitely no match for Ethan.
Trevor snorted and said, ”1 was overthinking things. I was just fooled by how he acted. He's just acting too calm, causing me to feel like he’s hiding something..."
Trevor could not help but laugh after saying that, feeling like he was being naive to actually think that the guy was hiding something. Even if he did, he was still just an alchemist.
He was just an ant in front of Trevor, that Trevor could deal with easily!
Rudy had heard everything they said and almost laughed. Facing other strong warriors, Rudy would not have dared to say that Fane would definitely win, but if it was Ethan, he could confidently tell everyone there that Fane would be the victor.
That was because Ethan was the ant that could die at any moment!
Rudy laughed and said, "Since you're so confident that Ethan will win, then hurry up and bet on him. Could you just be saying that you support him, but actually thinking that he'll lose?!"
"What do you know?!" A disciple behind Trevor said loudly.
The disciple had widened eyes and rage on his face, "We're not as stupid as you, blindly trusting Fane! We didn't place our bets because we were talking! Couldn’t you see that?"
