Fane looked down on the Blood Lake. Those corpses were thrown around everywhere. He saw two familiar faces, which were the two warriors that went missing. At that moment, all of the blood in their body had been extracted. They were assuredly dead.
Fane sighed, "So from the very start, the prey was actually the hunter, and the hunter was the prey. I suddenly find it quite funny."
The humans were too confident, thinking that they would only need to be wary of other humans in the Demon Spirit Kingdom. They never expected their greatest enemies to be the beasts within.
Diante narrowed its eyes, immediately seeing through everything, "It looks like that disloyal son of mine told you everything. They really are all trash, both Karsh and the thirteenth! They can't help me during an important moment, and are just burdens! Once I go through this trial, I'll slowly make them pay!"
Fane ignored it and continued speaking, "As long as you go through this trial and absorb the blood of another thirteen humans, you'll be able to use the dense blood to finish an array. The lightning won't be able to sense you anymore, and you can get out of here."
There were two uses for human blood. Firstly, it could be used to strengthen the beasts themselves, and secondly it could be used as a barrier. Using the blood to cover their bodies, the laws of the area would no longer be able to tell who it really was. With enough blood to cover every area of its body, it would even make the laws think it was human.
Then, it could use that to get sent out of this place. The world was vast, it could even leave the Whirling World to obtain true freedom. Diante laughed, not caring at all. After the trial, that human would not be able to do anything to it.
It said loudly, "It's just like you say. As long as I have enough blood, I will be able to leave this place. With my current abilities, it will be incredibly easy to deal with you humans! I've been trapped here for so many years. I'm already tired of all these restrictions! Once I get out, I'll constantly grow stronger and become one of the strongest beings!"
After it said that, it looked incredibly proud as if no one could stop it. It would slowly ascend to the peak, and all humans would have to cower beneath it. Fane could not stop himself from laughing.
"You really are something else! I can assure you, this place is even safer. You'll only die if you leave this place. Don't think that humans are that weak."
Fane was being truthful. The outside world was vast, but that small Demon Spirit Beast regarded itself too highly. There were so many amazing experts out there, and humans have never gotten along with other races. If that Demon Spirit Beast managed to get out, it would just be attacked by everyone!
Fane scoffed, not wanting to dwell on the problem anymore. At that moment, he leaped up and headed for the stage at the center. Diante looked at Fane coldly, not attacking.
When Fane got to the edge of the stage, Diante snorted and looked at Fane in disdain. It pointed at its chest. There was a faint red glow there. It said coldly, "Are you trying to kill me for this blood essence stone?"
Stronger Demon Spirit Beasts would have blood essence stones in their body. The stronger the beast, the more powerful the stone. After going through so many trials, Diante was already incredibly strong. The stone was about the size of a fist.
If a human absorbed it, their power would definitely increase. That blood essence stone would cost over ten million in the market. There was no way Fane would miss out on something that amazing. When Fane found out about the stone from the prince, he immediately brought all the humans into the fog.
Under the prince's guidance, they arrived next to the Blood Lake. After having everyone else hide, he went to face Diante. Fane laughed and nodded, "You're smart. That's precisely my plan! You're right, I came here for the blood essence stone."
