Diante laughed when it heard that. It started to look at Fane like an idiot. Diante looked at Fane in interest, "Do you know why I haven't attacked you?"
Fane answered, "It's because you're confident in yourself. You think that I won't be able to harm you even if you're going through a trial. After all, I'm alone here."
Diante nodded. After the Sky Locking Array was activated, no one else entered other than Fane. If there had been a lot of people, Diante would have fought back immediately. However, he did not care as much since only Fane was there.
No matter how strong Fane was, there was no way Fane would be a match for him. He had gone through so many trials. He was not something humans could defeat! Even if he was about to go through another trial and his skills would weaken, the brat in front of him was no threat to him at all."
Fane sighed helplessly. Before Fane came, he had already made many preparations. Diante was definitely stronger than he was, but Fane did not care as much about that when he found out that Diante would be at its weakest during the trial.
The clouds above them continued to darken, and the sound of thunder was more and more frequent. It meant the trial was about to begin. Fane looked up into the sky, and various emotions flashed on his face. Diante raised an eyebrow and said, "I can actually attack you right now, but I don't plan on doing that. I want to kill you when the trial is going on so you'll know how dumb your earlier ideas were. I want you to know what hopelessness is. You'll taste the difference between the two of us!"
Fane laughed and shook his head slightly. The thirteenth prince really was similar to the king. Diante was just as narcissistic. Of course, Diante had the skills to back it up. However, narcissism gave it the drive to prove itself.
Even if it was the best time for Diante to attack, Diante still wanted to wait until it was at its weakest. It wanted to prove that, even when it was weak, Fane was no match for it!
Fane took a deep breath and took out a signal flare from Mustard Seed. He formed a seal, and the signal flare shot into the air, exploding loudly. The signal flare spread out, and all of the beasts saw that it was coming from the Blood Lake.
Diante was confused, not understanding what Fane was doing. Fane did not bother explaining either as he coldly looked at Diante.
In just five minutes, the first bolt of lightning struck down. Diante pushed its hands forward, and a dense barrier of blood formed. On top of its natural skill, the lightning did not scare Diante at all.
Fane merely watched quietly, as if he was waiting for something. Right after that, many footsteps could be heard from afar. Fane looked over and saw countless beasts gathering around.
Those beasts widened their eyes when they saw Fane on the stage. All of those beasts' lips were trembling, especially Karsh's. That was the worst-case scenario.
He never would have expected the human to enter the Blood Lake, let alone go as far as the stage at the center, standing in front of Diante. Karsh was starting to feel hopeless.
The lightning constantly descended, and Diante calmly withstood the strikes. When Fane saw that Karsh and the others were there, he finally made his move. He took a deep breath and started to form seals. A blade slowly formed in front of him!
