"Everyone knows of Cloud City's various rules. Just look at how arrogantly he's acting! He probably doesn't think that the fog battlefield is dangerous at all. I think he's just messed up. He doesn't have blind confidence; he's just bragged too much and isn't willing to admit he's wrong."
After he said that, a lot of people around the man nodded in agreement. They felt like Fane deep down knew his place yet was stubborn to admit it due to his pride.
In the end, they were not allowed to fight without any reason there. No matter how angry the other party got, all they could do was say a few words. Fane already offended them anyway, so he might as well say a bit more and it would not change anything.
Case felt like he would just get more frustrated arguing with Fane, but he still did not want to let it drop.
Case clenched his fists. "Remember what you've said! Fine, I'll hold you to your word. If you have the ability to get in Cloud Valley…"
After he said that, he paused. His lips twitched as if he was embarrassed to even say what he was saying. However, he forced himself to continue, "When you come out of Cloud Valley, I'll wait for you at the entrance. Everyone here can be our witness! Then, we'll go take part in the fog battlefield. It'll be down to your skills if you can survive!"
Case then pushed away the next person in line, cutting in with his two fellow disciples. The person who was pushed away stiffened, his face evidently souring in displeasure but decided not to act on it. After all, he did not have Fane's courage to face the Swelling Tide Continent.
Case quickly got on the stone. Fane raised an eyebrow, remaining in place and not leaving. He waited to see Case's results.
Noticing Fane was waiting, Case scoffed and said, "Do you think I'll embarrass myself like you did?"
Fane said in exasperation, "Why are you so full of nonsense? Can't you just shut your mouth?"
Case was so angry that he almost lost his breath. He could not bear talking to this guy anymore. After all, no matter how angry he got, he could not attack him, so he was forced to swallow all his anger.
Case's results came out very quickly, revealed in just a moment. Six crystals lit up around the stone, and the air around him let out a red glow as a Valley Entrance Pass materialized and fell into his hands.
Case smiled confidently. Sure enough, he got the pass just like he expected. Geniuses were geniuses, and they could not be compared to those who faked to be one.
Case let out a confident smirk as he looked at Fane mockingly.
Everyone started to look at Fane below but saw that Fane's expression was still calm, as if he had expected that result.
Even though Fane had a mask on, it only covered half his face. They could still see Fane's expression through his eyes and the other half of his face. Quite a few people raised their eyebrows, and some began talking among themselves.
"Let's not talk about anything else. When it comes to keeping their cool, I don't think anyone here can beat this guy. If it was me, I would've dug a hole for myself in the ground from the sheer awkwardness, but he isn't even batting an eye. I'm impressed!"
"What do you think he's thinking? I think he's just crazy. Even though the warriors from the Swelling Tide Continent are a brazen bunch, he's acting like he doesn't care. Unless you're incredibly skilled or you come from a powerful background, you can't do that. I don't think he has either!"
