Rudy scoffed and said, "The second-grade worlds are full of people like you who can't seem to look at themselves in a mirror. I really don't know what goes on in your head. You're always able to find flaws in everyone else and push all the problems onto others. You act like it has nothing to do with you. You're just full of excuses. Don't you think it's hilarious?"
Lourain lost his temper at those words. The true energy in his body completely exploded. However, the pressure was nothing to Fane at all.
Fane reached out and unleashed his own power, stopping Lourain's energy. Lourain coldly glared at Fane. Fane felt Lourain was looking like he was about to die from his anger the next second.
He said thunderously, "Even if we manage to pass the Seven Death Array, I won't let any of you off. I will make sure you regret everything you've done today!"
Lourain said all of that through clenched teeth. He was already at the limits of his temper. He felt like the whole world was going against him. He hated warriors from third-grade worlds and wanted to kill all of them.
Fane sighed before he said calmly, "So, both of you are around evenly matched."
In the end, Fane made the most important conclusion. No matter how fiercely they were fighting, it was just temporary. They knew that they needed to work together to pass the Seven Deaths Array no matter what.
It would naturally be good for them if they managed to pass and enter Violet City. It was the common goal of all of the warriors gathered there, but the key problem with being able to pass or not was the skill of everyone there. No matter how much animosity was between Lourain and Marth, they still knew each other and knew each other's strengths.
The two of them were more or less at the same level of strength. Lourain was slightly stronger, but not by much.
Lourain looked at Fane in disdain. He really wanted to point at Fane and ask Fane why he needed to tell Fane how strong he was. However, they were still temporarily working together. He calmed himself down and said, "I'm stronger than that trash! I use a lower ultimate god rank technique…"
Marth raised an eyebrow and looked at Lourain coldly. He said with a hint of mockery, "Can you behave yourself? What's the point of making yourself look good right now? You'll be entering the Seven Deaths Array soon. We'll be able to tell immediately. Others might not know, but I do.
"You're from a holy grade clan, and you're an outer disciple, not even at the level of an inner disciple yet. Why are you trying to make yourself look good by saying you use a lower ultimate god rank technique? Even though you're using one, you haven't even reached the first stage of mastery. You're barely able to use it…"
Lourain's face reddened in anger as he glared at Marth. He felt like he had been deeply insulted. Marth had exposed him with that tone, it was no different from humiliating him. There was no way Lourain could stomach that.
