The two of them shrunk back subconsciously, but they felt like it was unsightly. They quickly straightened their backs. Initially, only the warriors nearby had been looking at them, but the news had quickly spread throughout the whole Killing Hall. Practically everyone was looking over, and there was an uproar of discussions.
"Does anyone know the two of them? I don't think I've ever seen them! It's really strange. What's going on today? I feel like all sorts of strange people are popping up."
"I didn't get a clear look! Just look at them, they aren't even turning their heads around anymore. I didn't notice them at all when they walked over earlier!"
It had to be said that the two of them shrinking back was the right choice. After they placed their bets, they had not turned around at all. It meant that most of the curious warriors did not recognize their looks, and only saw their backs.
The two of them exchanged a look of determination. Both of them decided at the same time that they would not turn their heads around no matter what. The others could say whatever they want to. No matter what, they would not turn around!
It was the only way to prevent any trouble. Even though the two of them were not very significant people, if anyone wanted to look into it, their identities might be exposed. It would be a lot of trouble if that happened. Hence, the two of them decided to quickly hide somewhere once the crowd's attention was somewhere else!
Fane looked over at the two of them and nodded quietly. The two of them were quite smart. They knew that not showing their faces was the right thing to do.
Time slowly ticked away and the betting area was finally closing. The transfer array beneath Fane's feet started to light up. Looking at that scene, everyone started to get excited again. The challenge was about to commence.
Even though the results could very well be anticlimactic, and the guy might be ripped to shreds in the seventh room, they still wanted to learn something new no matter what. At the very least, they wanted to see how the gold difficulty was.
Monte pursed his lips as he turned to Fane and said, "I won't bother saying anything else. Good luck!"
That wish was dripping with sarcasm. Fane's expression did not change at all as he acted like he did not hear it. However, Monte did not seem to mind. After all, Fane had acted in the same manner the whole time. Light started to envelop Fane's body, and space distorted around him as the array activated.
After a few breaths, the light that surrounded him turned gold. The distorted space slowly stabilized. When his feet were on the ground, he started to look around at the isolated space.
Unlike the black iron difficulty, where the walls had been made of black stone, the space Fane was in was completely golden. Whether it was the walls or the ground, it was all golden.
Looking at the golden stones, they glinted with red runes. Fane walked over to the seventh room, and everyone widened their eyes when they saw that.
"This guy really is something else. Even those warriors who are challenging the black iron difficulty will mostly stop to compose themselves before the seventh room. This guy is rushing straight over. I don't know if he's actually that brave or if he's just ignorant."
"He's clearly ignorant. If he had any sense, he would not have done something like that. Does he think the gold difficulty is child's play? He's rushing in just like that!"
