Fane knew how Wellis was feeling at that moment. He merely nodded at Wellis, signaling to Wellis to keep his cool.
"I don't care anymore! I might end up in danger if I stay here. I don't want to die here! I'm sorry, Wellis!" After saying that, someone took two steps back and separated himself from Wellis.
Since one person had started, the others moved as well. Morul hesitated for a moment before taking a step back as well. Out of the nine of them, four of them took a step back. The other five remained in place. They had conflicted expressions on their faces but did not retreat.
Ishak was part of the five who remained. He stood in place and did not move, and there was no look of conflict on his face either. What the masked man said earlier did not change Ishak's mind at all.
The man in the green mask looked over at Ishak. He said, "Do you know what the consequences of being stubborn are?"
His tone was ice-cold as if he was announcing Ishak's death.
Ishak raised an eyebrow, and he saw a hint of amusement in the eyes of the masked man, "You can fool the more simple-minded people, but you can't fool me!"
After he said that, there was an interested look in Ishak's eyes as he asked, "I'm very curious. How did you locate Wellis? Did you arrange for people to keep an eye on him? That doesn't really make sense. Wellis' senses are so sharp. There's no way he wouldn't notice someone following him.
"If you didn't have anyone follow him, then how did you know where Wellis would be? What did those evil beasts have to do with you?!"
Ishak spoke the last words very seriously. As he asked, his eyes were fixed right on the masked man.
