Boom!
Streams of strong Five-Element Sword Aura rushed forward and collided with the sword radiance from Dennis.
At the center of the collision, a vortex of pulsing energy yawned, its size rapidly growing and devouring space.
A single clicking sound rang out, and in the blink of an eye the whole sky broke into several fragments, as if it was a shattered mirror, its dark cracks running outwards like spider webs spinning themselves into existence.
The sky fell with a crash, its stars littering the debris before all getting sucked into the void.
Taken aback himself, Austin found himself retreating quickly.
In the distance, Dennis finally got rid of the power of the Eye of the Ghostdom Ancestor.
Up until then, it had been emitting a terrible devouring power that was dragging his spiritual soul in.
Conquering it was no small feat, and it even cost Dennis some of his spiritual soul energy.
He could taste blood in his mouth.
It didn't suggest that Austin could easily beat him with the Eye of the Ghostdom Ancestor though.
What happened just now was too abrupt, and it caught Dennis off his guard.
He did not see that coming, and it was too late to keep the Eye of the Ghostdom Ancestor from taking a piece of him.
Otherwise he could have deflected this attack, and avoided getting injured altogether.
His realm and power were much more powerful than Austin's.
Dennis wiped the blood that was slowly dripping from the corner of his mouth.
"I can't believe you managed such a powerful attack.
You even possess such a high-level magic treasure!"
There was a wild killing intent in Dennis's eyes. He had never imagined that a nobody like Austin could hurt him.
He had lost some of his spiritual soul energy and his spiritual soul had been compromised.
Although the damage wasn't much, spiritual souls were still essential for all cultivators.
The trauma to spiritual souls was more terrible than that to flesh.
Dennis stared at the third eye between Austin's own two eyes, feeling a hint of fear. Its power was formidable.
He glanced at the sword in Austin's hand, his senses probing at its energy.
The aura emitted by this sword could suppress his own!
With his cultivation base, he could naturally tell that this sword was very likely to be one magic treasure that once belonged to a legendary genuine immortal master!
"All right, I will let you live a few more days," Dennis said carefully.
"But make no mistake. I will return to take your life soon. The spiritual tree belongs to me.
And I will destroy the Immortal End World and the Immortal End Alliance!"
Dennis scowled at Austin, his breaths heavy.
He then took a few steps back and disappeared with a flash, the shadow of his presence melting into the distant sky.
He had to recover from his injuries before facing Austin in a showdown to the death.
If he failed to tend to his damaged spiritual soul in time, there could be dire consequences.
It was already extremely difficult to make breakthrough, especially for someone in his level.
If his spiritual soul wasn't in full capacity, he might not manage a breakthrough again.
And, loathe as he was to admit it, he was intimidated by Austin's magical eyes and that long sword.
Fighting under these circumstances was not an option.
"You old asshole! I'll kill you one day," Austin yelled after the fleeing Dennis. "I will destroy the Yaksha Palace too!"
Austin stared at the receding figure of Dennis, clenching his fists.
His intention of killing Dennis and destroying the Yaksha Palace had reached the climax.
'Magic treasure belonged to a genuine immortal?
What was he talking about?
Is this sword once owned by a genuine immortal?'
