Kingsley looked at Quintus and said, "I'll give you three seconds to decide. Either leave with your people now or stay and die with River!"
Quintus' expression changed multitudes within a moment as he eventually made up his mind and said through gritted teeth, "River is filming under my production now. If I abandon him here, how can I continue staying in showbiz?"
Although he was just an insignificant director, he was still a part of the entertainment industry. In this circle, every action and word could be magnified indefinitely. Moreover, River had gained quite a few fans recently. If Quintus ran away, it would undoubtedly lead to a flood of negative news, making it difficult for him to make a comeback in the future.
"Very well." Kingsley nodded. "Since you've chosen to court death, don't cry for injustice when you're affected later!"
With that, he took a step toward River.
River, a low-life, was someone Kingsley didn't even bother using any special means against. He planned to drag River straight to Yulia and make him apologize directly to her.
If he dared to refuse, Kingsley would use his fists. Anyone who dared to stop him would get a beating, too. However, as Kingsley had just taken a few steps, suddenly came the sound of brakes on the nearby road.
Immediately afterward, someone exclaimed, "W-Why are there so many soldiers?!"
At that, Kingsley stopped and turned around to find a dozen military vehicles parking neatly at Sapphire Street, completely blocking the entire intersection. Subsequently, fully armed soldiers jumped off the vehicles one after another, lining up along the street.
Originally, only a few people were watching the commotion inside Sapphire Street. Now, with the disturbance escalating, more onlookers outside the street craned their necks to see. However, they were quickly dispersed by the soldiers. Once pedestrians saw the weapons in the soldiers' hands, they all chose to stay far away.
