Kingsley waved his hand. "Alright, now that you, military personnel, are here, go ahead and handle these people who illegally sealed off the road."
"Yes!" Kevin snapped to attention, almost raising his hand in a salute. Then he asked, "So… how should we handle it? Should we arrest them or give them a lesson right here and now?"
After a moment of contemplation, Kingsley instructed, "Don't waste any more time. Just handle it right here."
Kevin stood rigidly, nodding. "Understood. As you say."
The dialogue between the two had dumbfounded everyone.
Isn't this a lower-ranking officer seeking approval from a higher-ranking one and then receiving orders?
Then again, it didn't seem like this military officer knew the young man. Moreover, who was this young man to have this regiment commander follow his orders?!
For a moment, everyone felt bewildered, unable to comprehend the current situation.
Meanwhile, Maverick, who had been observing from the side, looked at Kingsley with complex emotions, his mind in turmoil. As a leader in the Cole Gang, he was different from the ordinary spectators.
He had a faint feeling that the arrival of these military personnel for the exercise might not be a coincidence. Yet he doubted that Kingsley had sent them here.
He couldn't fathom how a young man like Kingsley could command a regimental commander.
He couldn't convince himself.
Amidst everyone's profound confusion, Kingsley walked up to Quintus, casually grabbed a folding chair, and sat down.
This type of folding chair was commonly used on production sets, and Robert had been sitting on it earlier, guarding the intersection.
