Quinn heard the conversation between her sons. Although it was not very clear, she still heard some of them.

She found that she hadn't lived as wisely as her eldest son her whole life.

Zayne would definitely be outstanding in the future. His wisdom made her, as a mother, feel inferior.

"Mom," Zayne was not surprised to see Quinn, he only greeted her softly.

Quinn nodded, her eyes were still red and puffy, but she had regained her composure. She said softly, "You should go to your room and rest for a while. Just focus on your studies, everything else to me and your dad. You two should study hard so that you'll have a good future."

"Mom, don't worry. I'm fine, but Eamon might need your comfort." Zayne said.

Quinn shook her head, "I won't comfort him. In the past, I always felt that I should protect him, thinking that he is too young, but in fact, he is only two years younger than you. Now only do I realize that I had sheltered him too well, that's why he is so naive. But you, on the other hand, have grown up into a young man who makes me feel ashamed of myself."

Eamon in the room cried out aggrievedly in a low voice, "Mom, you don't want to comfort me too?"

Quinn looked at him without saying anything.

Eamon felt very upset and glanced at his mother and brother again, "Alright, since Mom doesn't want to comfort me, why don't you come in and let me comfort you!

Quinn was stunned. She looked at her youngest son and said, "I don't need your comfort. Try and get some sleep, you'll need to go to school later."

"I don't want to, you guys are divorcing, why should I still go to school?" Eamon's eyes widened. He didn't want to go to school, he just wanted to save his parents' marriage.

"You're not skipping school just because we're divorcing. You can't escape from your own life. You'd better think about how to live your life. Your Dad and I can't do it for you." Quinn was calm,

"Don't let me worry about you."

"Mom, why did you suddenly become so calm?" Eamon asked as if he didn't know his mother, "Did Zayne's words affect you?"

"I just think it's time to face reality. I had always liked to dream, but I will have to wake up one day." Quinn told Eamon.

Eamon could not utter a word.

Zayne stood at the door. After a moment of silence, he walked toward his room.

Half past eight in the morning.

At the entrance of the Civil Affairs Department.

When Timothy and Quinn reached, they got out of the car together and walked in.

The first segment of the procedure was mediation.

The staff of the Civil Affairs Department mediated their divorce first, meaning that they'd advise them not to do so. If they still have feelings for each other, they should not divorce. But the two of them said they had already reached an agreement, so there was no need to mediate.

After the mediation, the two of them still didn't change their mind. The staff could only proceed to the next stage by listing out the distributions of the properties clearly.

Quinn's decision was still the same. She only wanted an apartment and nothing else. But the staff persuaded her to reconsider. Quinn said firmly that she didn't want anything.

Just like that, they signed the divorce agreement. After the embossed seal was stamped, they were handed the divorce decree. Quinn still cried in the end.

Tears continued to stream down her face silently.

Timothy's eyes were slightly red, too.

He thought that his life was a failure.

At the end of the day, he didn't know much about women. After experiencing so much in life, he learned that he knew very little about what women really needed and wanted.
