True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1073

Jensen looked at him with a smile and said, "I understand. You want Madam Berkeley to be judged fairly too. Don't worry, well make sure everything gets settled according to the law."

Timothy froze, a hint of embarrassment flashed across his eyes.

Jensen merely nodded in quiet understanding.

It seemed that Timothy did indeed have a little bit of affection towards Quinn. But perhaps, he wasn't sure of how he really felt about her.

"That's good," Timothy nodded. 'TH be off now. I won't bother you any longer."

"Alright," Jensen smiled at him before seeing him to the door. "Mr. Yarbrough, I think Zayne has a lot of opinions about how you take care of matters. Personally, I think if you are willing to bail Madam Berkeley out, your relationship with your son might be salvageable."

Timothy paused for a moment after hearing Jensen out and hurriedly shook his head, "Never mind, forget it." "If you're worried about what Grace will think, I can help you with that." Jensen felt that it was better for Grace, Heinz, and Quinn to reconcile.

To be honest, Timothy was the unlucky one caught in the middle of this situation.

Timothy shook his head again and said firmly, "There's no need to bail her out, it's what she deserves. Everyone has to pay the price for their actions and so do I. I've made my decision today and I will bear the consequences of it in the future. Either way, I won't regret it."

Jensen only nodded his head and replied, "Well then, I respect your decision."

Soon after, Timothy left the police station.

Once Jensen returned to his office, he gave Heinz a call.

"I've managed to ask about the details of the case rather thoroughly," Jensen informed. "Do you want to know what we've gathered?"

"Is this about Quinn?" Heinz asked.

"That's right," Jensen answered.

Heinz paused for a moment before speaking, "Alright, tell me about it then. I'd like to understand what happened."

"When Quinn was at the fruit shop, she overheard someone had gone back to the store to complain that they had suffered from diarrhea and vomiting after eating the fruits they've bought there. So, she bought some of those fruits on purpose, and got Timothy to pass them to Grace when he went to visit her," Jensen then added, "She wasn't the one who poisoned the fruits."

"So what? She still bought those fruits intending to harm Grace. What's the difference?" Heinz's tone was not very pleasant. "Jensen, why does it sound like you're on her side?"

"I'm not. I just think we should make peace with the ones who have wronged us. Your relationships with each other are rather complicated. Zayne's attitude towards Timothy was very bad today. He made the whole conversation seem very respectful, but in reality, his every word was full of spite. So, I don't know... Do you really think it's alright to just go on like this?" Jensen asked.

"Jensen, you know how I am. Although I won't plainly go against others, you have to consider what Grace and I have gone through. If the babies in Grace's belly do somehow get affected, what should we do?

"Although the doctor has reassured us that everything will be fine, it's impossible for me to let my guard down. There is always a chance for something to turn out badly." Heinz stated.

"Heinz, although this is an assault, its consequences aren't as obvious. If we really go to court over this, you have to understand that the case might be dismissed," Jensen pointed out. "I told Zayne about the worst- case scenario. However, if the court really does hear about this, Quinn may not be sentenced in the end."
