"So you're still aware of it?" There was a hint of helplessness in the tone from the other end of the phone, "Zachary is actually a very good person. If you explain it to him properly, he should be able to understand."
"It's not the right time yet," Yvonne sighed. "I just checked into a hotel, and I'm going to take a shower. Let's talk about it some other time. I have to get used to this time zone. Well meet some other time."
"Yvonne, since you have held on for seven years, you can hold on for a little longer. If you really love him, you have got to try to patch things up with him," Yvonne's friend on the other side of the phone encouraged her.
'TH work hard. I'll be brave," Yvonne was on the verge of breaking down. "However, I'm afraid that my efforts will still end up in vain."
"You've been gone for seven years. Why do you still care if your efforts will go in vain? There's another way. Just get him drunk then take advantage of him. This way, everything will be solved."
"I can't even get close to him so how am I supposed to get him drunk?" Yvonne said helplessly, "He wouldn't give me a chance to speak at all, so how do you suppose I'll get near him?"
"When you left without hesitation back then, you were full of confidence and determination. Where did all the courage go?"
"It's gone. I've been torn down all these years. I deserve it. I deserve it."
"Yvonne, don't say that. It doesn't sound like you."
"I know. I will pull myself together. Don't worry. I will try to resolve it with Zachary."
"Yes, you have to cheer up and come back stronger. You can't let anything simply beat you down like this. The Yvonne that I know is far stronger than what you're portraying now."
"Got it."
After hanging up the phone, Yvonne lowered her eyes and gently forced out a smile. It was very self- deprecating. She quickly placed down the phone, tidied up the suitcase and went into the bathroom.
Not long after she went into the bathroom, the door of the hotel room swung open.
Zachary boldly entered the room. In his hand was a copy of the room key.
He glanced at the suitcase that was in the middle of the room, and checked that it was indeed Yvonne's.
After confirming that he was not in the wrong room, he sat down on the sofa and looked at the opened suitcase.
Women's shorts and lingerie were strewn carelessly in the suitcase compartment.
He glanced at it for a few moments and shifted his gaze elsewhere.
The sound of running water in the bathroom made him feel bored.
He didn't know how long he needed to wait.
She took a long hot shower. The hot water made her feel more energetic after a long tiring day. She did not wear the hotel bathrobe, but wore the pink bathrobe she had brought. After putting it on, she strode out of the bathroom.
Her wet hair was matted to her face. Her brown eyes were bright, her skin was slightly glowing, and her lips were slightly pinkish.
Due to her staying alone in the hotel room, she did not bother to tie her bathrobe up, nor did she wear anything underneath.
What a scene.
Zachary's eyes widened.
The scene that greeted him was too erotic.
When Yvonne came out of the bath, a cold chill ran down her spine. She seemed to feel that something was amiss. She glanced up and saw Zachary sitting on the opposite side of the sofa, staring at her.
"What!"
She almost jumped out of her skin. She cried out in alarm and immediately turned around to tie her bathrobe. She could feel her ears and face burning with embarrassment.
After calming herself down a little, she turned to look at him. Her eyes widened in shock as if she had seen a ghost.
"You, why are you here?"
This was a hotel. She was living in a hotel and he was able to get into her room. How was that possible? This hotel had such weak security.
The man on the couch was still staring at her. He did not utter a single word.
"You, you say something."
She was truly shocked. She was so scared that she nearly fainted.
Looking at his stare, she immediately shut her mouth.
He was staring at her everywhere. Her face, neck, calves, and feet.
