Zachary's body trembled slightly.
It was not easy for Yvonne to say such words.
She had opened up her heart slightly to him.
Perhaps one day, Yvonne would tell him the entire truth.
The sun shone brightly outside the floor-to-ceiling window, filling up the whole room with rays of sunlight.
Zachary pulled her up and held her in his arms.
Yvonne buried her head in his chest as her hands wrapped around Zachary's waist. She tried not to cry, but she couldn't stop her tears from flowing as she was elated.
Those were tears of joy.
Was it a dream?
Was the happiness in front of her a dream?
She had dreamt countless times, fantasizing that they could embrace each other like this. It was more than enough for her even if they were just hugging.
But now, not only did they embrace each other, but
their hearts were connected as well.
Tears flowed down her cheeks even more fiercely.
She felt that the day she had waited for such a long time had finally arrived. Her bitter days had come to an end.
The warmth Zachary felt on his chest startled him. A touch of bewailing flashed across in his eyes as he said softly, "Don't cry."
However, Yvonne still wasn't able to control her tears of joy. She was too happy.
Zachary cupped her face, lowered his head, and kissed her cheek with his warm lips.
He wiped away her tears little by little.
He treated her preciously. His every movement was so gentle and as light as a feather.
"Don't cry anymore," he continued to speak gently. Every word he spoke was so gentle it warmed her heart.
The warmer it was, the fuller she felt. Tears continued to flow fiercely from her eyes.
Just like this, Yvonne's tears were kissed away by Zachary.
Until she was too embarrassed to cry or even looked at Zachary.
He was still cupping her face with his big hands, and his eyes were full of smiles, "Silly girl, you're crying so much that my heart is breaking."
Such warm sweet nothings.
Yvonne was moved deeply. It had been such a long time since she had heard him speak sweet nothings so gently to her.
"I can't help it," Yvonne muttered. She was too embarrassed to look at his face and was afraid that he would laugh at her, so she pulled his hands down and buried herself in his chest.
However, Zachary lifted her face once more and forced her to look at him. His eyes were full of tenderness and adoration for her.
"Look at me." He said.
Yvonne could only raise her teary eyes and looked at him.
Through her blurry vision, she saw the distinct features on his face. He was handsome beyond comparison.
All of a sudden, everything went black in front of her eyes, and she felt a hot breath in her ear. He had put her earlobe in his mouth.
His warm breath was so sudden and unexpected, Yvonne nearly shrieked from his action. Her ears were probably the most sensitive part of her body.
Ugh.
This man. He knew how to control her emotions
too well.
She tightly clasped her arms on his waist and tried to pinch him to stop him from continuing.
But this little strength was of no use at all. It was worse than how he had turned her legs to jelly.
Her eyes widened as they filled with complaints, and her gaze shifted slightly.
A thin layer of sweat gradually appeared on her nose because of his sudden actions.
He couldn't see her, or perhaps, he didn't want to see her at all.
At that moment, all he wanted to do was this, as long as she doesn't cry anymore.
Zachary carried her in his arms to the lounge.
There was no way Yvonne could withstand such continuous torments.
