True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1192

It was her stepmother, her father's current wife, who had told everyone that she was pregnant before getting married.

Her grandmother was very protective of that woman now.

That was understandable.

She pursed her lips, knowing that she was unwelcomed in this family, and yet she had returned. In fact, she had hoped that everyone, especially her grandmother, could give them their blessings. This was probably the wish of every granddaughter.

From the looks of it, it seemed that it was impossible to obtain her family's affection.

She had known that she was unwelcomed in this family, but she still couldn't help coming back and bringing Zachary here.

She was so stupid; she shouldn't have come.

She felt a pang in her heart. It was a sharp pain.

"Grandma, I know you don't welcome me here," Yvonne said with a bitter smile. She looked at the old lady, but tears were glistening in her eyes.

Elaine froze. She looked at Yvonne, and her brows were tightly furrowed.

Zachary's heart clenched, and he frowned immediately. He looked at Yvonne and silently held her hand.

Elaine looked at their hands that were clasped together and narrowed her eyes slightly.

Yvonne continued, "I've always known that I was a burden in this family. My father didn't want me, and you took me in, so I'm very grateful for that. However, this doesn't mean that you like me. I'm nothing but your responsibility, and I know my position very well."

"I wanted to make you proud and become the pride of the Attwood family, but I failed."

"What can I do? I've given birth to Maria, and I love Zachary. I gave birth to his child of my own free will."

"You can blame me and humiliate me, but you can't blame Zachary for anything because he knew nothing. I made the decisions myself willingly. You can hate me and scold me, but I can't stand you treating him that way."

"Yvonne." Zachary stopped her with a pained expression. "Stop talking and calm down."

"Zachary." Yvonne shook her head. "It's not your fault."

He coaxed softly, "Good girl, go out for a while. Let me talk to your grandma."

She shook her head firmly. "I'm not leaving."

"Then don't say anything else," Zachary responded. "Don't worry. If I can't even take this, I'm not qualified to be your husband. So, no matter what Grandma says, I won't be angry. You don't have to stand up for me."

Yvonne looked at him in a daze, tears welling up in her eyes. Her eyes were filled with mixed emotions.

After comforting Yvonne and calming her down, Zachary turned his gaze to the old lady.

At this moment, the look in Madam Elaine's eyes was a little calmer. She looked at him in silence.

He then spoke, "Grandma, I know that you are angry. According to your family, what we did really hurt your family's reputation."

"It's good that you know." Madam Elaine's tone was full of sarcasm.
