"Yeah," Maria didn't try to hide her opinions, "I thought so back then, and I still think so now. Although I don't really like Gary, he is very serious this time, after all. How rare. I can't go against my conscience not to help him. Don't you agree?"
"Maria, since when did you become so kind-hearted?" Ernest asked suspiciously.
"I've always been a very kind-hearted girl," Maria smiled and looked at Ernest. After two seconds, she continued, "Unlike some people who are so used to wearing masks, so much that it has become so boring. I'm leaving now. I'm going to see how Gary is doing."
After that, Maria left Ernest and went upstairs.
After Gary returned home, he took a shower in his room on the third floor. He had just put his pants on after drying himself.
Suddenly, the door was pushed open.
"Gary." Maria's sound could instantly be heard.
Gary, who hadn't worn his top yet, frowned immediately and snorted as he turned around to look at Maria.
Maria stood at the door. When she noticed that Gary was changing his clothes, she reflexively covered her eyes the next second.
However, when she turned around and noticed that he was done wearing his pants already, she put down her hand instantly and sighed, "Tsk, tsk, tsk."
"Yo, Gary, you're only 16, and you've already become so muscular. Have you been plotting to seek attention from girls?" Maria teased.
Gary frowned as he put on his shirt.
His outfit for the day was a suit. As he had a tall figure, he could pull it off effortlessly.
Without paying any attention to Maria, Gary put on his clothes, then tucked his shirt into his pants.
Maria had come in simply, swaggering as she watched him change his clothes, and she had also commented on his physique.
"Tsk tsk, good physique; broad shoulders, narrow hips. You're gonna grow to be a hunk."
Gary snorted coldly, "Am I not now?"
"Now, not really." Maria shook her head, "Compared to my idol, you're still lacking a little. You don't have the aura of a matured man. Look at yourself; you look just like a teenager." "Youth is the most promising age. Haven't you heard of that?" Gary began to wear his tie.
"Do you have any achievements now?" Maria pouted and expressed her doubts, "Apart from being capable enough to study abroad at 16, you're pretty average. Moreover, whatever you can do, I can do it as well."
"Aren't you going as well?" Gary's sharp gaze landed on her, "Do you think your idol will be yours if you don't leave?"
Panic flashed across Maria's eyes, and she immediately coughed to clear her throat as if someone had guessed what was going on in her mind.
"Gary, what are you talking about? I don't understand."
"Don't act." Gary exposed her mercilessly, "Who doesn't know what's in your heart?"
"Celeste doesn't," Maria immediately retorted.
Gary was taken aback as his face turned stiff.
Maria laughed immediately as if she had seen through Gary's thoughts.
"Celeste is very innocent; she's clueless about a lot of things. Even if she had figured it out, she wouldn't point it out like this either," Maria expressed her disdain at him, "Gary, do you know your behavior is very unlikeable?"
"I didn’t ask you to like me," Maria's opinion did not matter to him.
"But you have to let Celeste like you at least," Maria said, "Look at you, you're always like this. You're only concerned about your own emotions. Has it ever crossed your mind that you shouldn't be treating girls so coldly?"
Gary paused and remained silent.
Maria shrugged and said with a sigh, "Look, your current situation is so boring. Since you clearly wish for her to go to the United States with you, why don't you fight for it? If you don't make yourself clear, how do you expect Celeste to know about it?"
"Shut up," Gary said deeply.
Maria was shocked by his cold voice.
