True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1317

"You guys had such a huge fight this time. She is a child, so she's still impulsive. Just don't be so stubborn and give her some space and time to admit her mistakes. I believe things will be much better," Katherine said frankly.

"I'm not the person who gave birth to her," Cindy complained, "She's not my own kin. For me to raise her for so long, does she even know how much I spent on her?"

"Then why did you raise her in the first place?" Katherine asked.

Cindy was instantly rendered speechless.

A flash of panic flitted across Cindy's eyes. She lowered her gaze and picked up the cigarette on the table. After lighting it up, she took a long puff.

"Cindy, I've been with you for so many years. I don't often stick my nose into your private affairs, but you've been raising her for so many years. You should continue raising her since it'll benefit you in the future."

"This d*mned brat hasn't contacted us yet. She wants to cut off all ties with me but I'm still her rightful guardian. Let's see what she can do next," Cindy took another puff. She tightened her fists, her fingernails sinking into her palm.

"Beep beep."

Suddenly, the phone rang.

She had received an email.

Cindy tapped on it and opened her email inbox. The photo attached in the email was too large.

She needed to zoom out to see what it was.

Hence, Cindy bit on the cigarette and quickly tapped on the screen to zoom out. Soon, she saw the entire picture clearly.

Her face suddenly turned pale.

With her mobile phone in her hands, she stood up from the sofa in a panic.

"Cindy, what's wrong?" Katherine asked with concern, "You don't look too good. Who emailed you?"

"It's nothing. I'll go back to my room first," Cindy said in a trembling voice. Her tone sounded pretty urgent, "Don't bother me. I promise I'll be fine."

After that, she strode back into her room.

The door slammed shut behind her.

Katherine was very puzzled. She had a feeling that at that very moment, Cindy's steps seemed like they were trembling.

Katherine was not certain what had happened, but she knew Cindy very well. To suddenly have such a large change in expression was indeed strange. Should she contact her manager>

Cindy entered the room and locked the door behind her. After clicking on the email once more, she found that it was indeed a photo of her nudes.

Why did this photo still exist?

Wasn't this photo already bought and confiscated by the public relations team?

Wasn't it already destroyed?

Cindy looked at it carefully and saw that it was sent anonymously. It was then that she realized that this was another attempt to blackmail her.

It was just a photo, with no other words or content written in the email.

It didn't seem right at all.

Cindy was so frightened that her hands and feet were shivering. She was constantly wondering: was this photo sent by the press, or not?

She paced back and forth in the room, at a loss for what to do.

About half an hour later, a series of notifications rang out again. Cindy opened it in a panic and saw a passage written in the email.

The content read, "Cindy White, you'd better don't do anything dumb. Stop trying to take things that aren't yours. If you do, trust that not only will this photo be exposed, your fun time with the director will also be exposed. I believe that this will mean the end of your career, and you'll be known as a b*tch by the public."

After reading the threat, Cindy was completely stupefied.

She was shaken to her very core.

She wanted to reply to it, but she didn't know who to send it to.

With that, Cindy lost sleep for the entire night. She looked extremely weary.

The next day, Katherine noticed Cindy's haggard face. The thick makeup could not conceal her fatigue.

Cindy seemed to be in a very bad state. It was as if she had suddenly aged a few years.

"What's wrong with you?" Katherine asked out of concern, "Would you like me to tell your manager?"

"It's nothing. Don't say anything," Cindy did not say anything else and stopped Katherine from reporting things to her manager. She then plopped herself down on the sofa and asked, "Have you contacted that brat?"

Katherine hurriedly replied, "Oh, I've gotten in touch with her. She asked me to convey a message to you. She said that she wishes for you to give up being her guardian. When she grows up, she will repay you when she is able to do so. Until then, she hopes that you can forfeit being her guardian."
