Celeste opened her eyes and looked into Gary's deep gaze. At that moment, his eyes were fixed on Celeste, and his hands were touching her all over.
"Are you not going to sleep?"
She had a feeling that Gary did not sleep a wink. If she guessed it correctly, he probably stared at her all the while when she was sleeping.
"I'm not sleepy," How could Gary feel sleepy? He was conflicted. After all, how could he fall asleep when he was hugging the girl that he liked?
If it weren't because of Celeste's body, he would not have held himself back at all.
"It's twelve o'clock already," Celeste looked at the time and grumbled, "It's getting really late."
"You can sleep first," Gary insisted.
"Can you take your hand away then?" Celeste asked, "I really can't sleep at all if you keep doing this."
"Since you can't fall asleep, do you want to talk to me then?" It seemed that Gary didn't want her to go back to sleep.
Celeste paused for a while. She thought that perhaps he was very bored since he couldn't sleep.
She nodded, "Alright, what do you want to talk about?"
"Don't you have anything to say to me now?" Gary raised his eyebrows at her. It was just the beginning of their chat, but she already had nothing to talk about?
Celeste was stunned by his question. She shook her head and said, "It was you who wanted to have a chat. I don't know what you want to talk about."
"I don't really have anything to say. I just want you," He stared at her and said bluntly.
Celeste was astonished. Her lips parted, but she didn't utter a single word.
Gary once again raised his eyebrows and asked, "What do you think?"
He thought Celeste could have said something since he was already being so straightforward. She had been sleeping for a few hours, so was it not enough?
At least, she could tell him if it was alright for him or not.
However, Celeste didn't say anything. It seemed that she was still lost in her own thoughts.
Was this question so enigmatic? Why did she have to think about it so carefully?
An unhappy expression appeared on Gary's handsome face. He felt upset because of her hesitation.
Celeste noticed that Gary was in a bad mood. It seemed that she did not actually satisfy him enough.
She looked up at him and right into his captivating gaze, saying, "I wanted to refuse, but you can't seem to fall asleep. Will you feel upset if I reject you?"
"I will," Gary nodded. He sighed and started sulking, "Forget it, I should be more considerate towards you. Just go to sleep."
She didn't want to do it with him after all.
He knew that he should not be holding on to such fantasies.
"If you're feeling very uncomfortable, you could go out for a jog. You'll feel sleepy when you're tired," Celeste came up with an idea and suggested it sincerely.
Gary quickly stopped her from continuing after hearing her suggestion.
His sharp gaze was tightly locked onto Celeste's face. He kissed her for a while as if he was punishing her before letting her go. Then, he opened his mouth and said grimly.
"You didn't think of a way to help me. Instead, you suggested me to go out for a run. If you are not thoughtful for me now, will you still care for me in the future?"
Celeste was stunned by his words. She thought that Gary was very adorable.
It seemed that he had lived a good life for the past four years. His personality was much better than before. Although he was still proud as always, he had made great progress.
At least, he wouldn't slam the door and leave when she asked him to go out for a jog.
This was considered a great improvement.
"How can I help you then?" Celeste figured out what he wanted and knew that there were other ways for her to help him.
However, she still felt embarrassed about such things.
Gary continued to stare intently at her. He pursed his lips tightly. He squinted his eyes, emotions rising from deep within him.
He was sure that Celeste understood whatever he meant.
This little girl was playing dumb and pretending not to know.
He smirked slightly, "Didn't you read about such things from books? I think you should know how to help me since you like reading so much. You must have read it from a book somewhere."
Celeste's eyelashes trembled slightly as she looked away.
He was right.
She cleared her throat to cover up her embarrassment and bashfulness at that moment.
"You do know."
