True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1384

Celeste felt extremely hurt upon finding the lipstick stain. Without the need to think, she knew that Gary had hugged Janice.

That explained why his body smelt liked the fragrance of a girl's perfume, and why there was a lipstick mark on his clothes.

It could be seen that their relationship was really close.

Although she knew that it was basic manners for foreigners to hug each other upon meeting, she still felt her chest tighten up when she saw a lipstick mark on Gary's chest. To be frank, she found it difficult for her to say a word.

It bothered her very, very much.

After a brief moment of being stunned by what she saw, Celeste immediately struggled. She wanted to get away from Gary's embrace.

However, Gary's grip on her tightened even further. He wrapped his strong arms around Celeste's waist, making her cling onto him.

"What's wrong? Are you angry? You're angry because I couldn't spend the day with you, right?" His lips were still lingering near Celeste's ear. He even stuck out his tongue and licked her delicate earlobe gently.

Celeste felt a sudden spark of electricity flowing through her veins. Her body froze again, but she did not forget to struggle out of his embrace.

After pausing for a while, she continued to fight back She did not want to be held by him anymore.

"Let me go," Celeste said in a not-so-friendly tone.

Gary detected her unhappiness and his eyebrows furrowed. His grip on her relaxed slightly but continued to hold Celeste in his arms. Lowering his head, he looked down at Celeste and asked, "What's wrong? Are you really angry?"

Celeste had a very unhappy look on her face.

Gary noticed that her expression had changed. She was very silent and her eyes had turned a little teary. Gary was very shocked.

"What happened?"

Celeste stared at the red lipstick mark on his chest. She glared at it angrily without even blinking.

Gary felt suffocated by Celeste's silence. He didn't like it when she gave him the cold shoulder.

However, he intuitively noticed something and followed her line of sight. He looked down at his

own clothes.

Once he looked down, his eyes fell on his shirt. Only then did he notice there was a red mark on his lightly colored plaid shirt.

Upon closer inspection, he realized that it was a lipstick mark.

A very clear lipstick mark.

All of a sudden, his body froze and his facial expression changed. He looked up to Celeste again and suddenly found himself a little bit speechless, not knowing what to say.

"You hugged Janice," Eventually, Celeste decided to bring it up. She did not want to hide this matter deep down in her heart, and she knew that Gary had noticed the lipstick mark she had been staring at.

Gary felt uncomfortable about being questioned. His instinct told him that Celeste did not believe him.

He snorted and asked coldly, "Do you not believe me?"

"Why are you not answering my question?" After noticing that he did not answer directly but replied with a question instead, Celeste's heart felt even more heavy.

"It seems like you did not answer my question too?" Gary's gaze and voice were both ice-cold.

Celeste felt very upset. She pursed her lips and felt a stabbing pain in her heart. The only thing she could do was try to hold it in, but her eyes couldn't lie. Tears started to brim in her eyes.

"Of course I want to believe you. I'm telling myself not to be petty and not to think too much about unnecessary things. However, I saw a lipstick stain on your clothes, and you've got a girl's scent all over you. If I didn't believe you, why would I ask you?"

After saying it clearly, Celeste felt that she was very pathetic, causing a wave of sadness to hit her suddenly.

"That means that you still don't trust me," Gary's heart was filled with anger and irritation when he heard her words. Didn't she already know about his feelings for her?

He came back as fast as he could just to see her.

No matter how nice he was to her, she would never feel it. She became so suspicious of him just because of a lipstick mark on his shirt. It seemed that even if he gave her all of his heart, he would still not be able to gain her absolute trust.

Without saying a word, Gary stormed upstairs.

Celeste looked at him as he headed straight upstairs. He did not say a word and left her alone, standing downstairs. She suddenly felt that between the both of them, he always seemed to be high and mighty, while her love always seemed to be very lowly and pathetic.

He didn't even want to give her an explanation.

The door was slammed shut with a loud bang, expressing Gary's anger and protest.

"Did I really do something wrong?"

Celeste started to question herself.

The house was quiet, and there was no sound coming from upstairs too.

There was a moment of absolute silence, as if she was the only person in the entire world.

She wrapped her arms around herself, but still felt a little cold.

It seems like there wasn't a place for her in this house.

Staying here made her feel very cold and uncomfortable.

Coincidentally, the refrigerator was empty and she had to get some groceries. She wanted to run some errands at the supermarket and look for something to do. Otherwise, she would go crazy.

After a moment of hesitation, she picked up her bag and headed out.

The first thing Gary did when he went upstairs was to take a bath and change his clothes.

He felt uncomfortable about the lipstick stain and the fragrance of another girl on his body, even though it just was a misunderstanding. He felt even more frustrated when Celeste didn't believe him at all.

This was the true reason he was frustrated.
