"Mr. Quartley, are you really willing to let things be like this?" Janice called Flynt and asked, "Do you want to cooperate with me?"
"Miss Simpson, don't do this." Flynt's voice was very low. "Where are you?"
"The hotel, of course." Janice said, "Don't do this? I haven't even done anything. Don't you also have feelings for Celeste too?"
"Why don't you come out." Flynt said, "I'm in a car outside your hotel."
"Okay, I'll be there." Janice smiled faintly, and there was a hint of smugness in her eyes. In her opinion, Flynt was in the same boat as her.
The person they fancied did not feel the same for them, and only those who had unrequited feelings knew this feeling well.
Janice soon found Flynt, and she immediately got into the car. She smiled at him after she closed the door.
"Mr. Quartley, you're here because you're still reluctant to give up, aren't you?"
Flynt frowned slightly. He wanted to say something, but Janice once again interrupted him, "Don't deny in such a hurry. You being here is the best proof of that."
He glanced in the direction of the hotel before he turned back to look at Janice, who was smiling. A hint of mockery flashed across his cold face. He said, "I am not as shameless as you."
"Mr. Quartley, if you like someone, you have to go all out. Otherwise, how will that person know?" Janice wanted to persuade Flynt.
However, it was evident that Flynt was not one to be easily convinced. He pursed his lips and said, "No one's stopping you from liking Gary, but if you're still trying to hurt Celeste after knowing they're together, I won't let this slide."
Janice laughed in response. "Mr. Quartley, you're the giving type, huh? You're willing to sacrifice yourself for the sake of others."
"That's none of your business." Flynt said lightly, "You've kept going on about this over the past few days. Don't think I don't know what you're up to. If I were you, I'd watch out."
Janice's tone was filled with regret. "It seems that you're not here to work with me. What a shame."
"You can scram now." Flynt didn't want to waste any more time with Janice.
Janice smiled and said, "You wanna know something? They were together last night. The entire night."
Flynt's expression froze; pain flashed across his eyes.
"Do you know what I mean?" Janice said with a sly smile, "Sex, you know? They slept together the entire night. They've long consummated their relationship."
"F*ck off," Flynt cursed.
Janice shrugged and said, "In that case, I wish you all the best, Mr. Quartley."
She no longer pestered him and got out of the car.
Flynt's car stayed stationary for a long time.
At this moment, Gary and Celeste had already checked out of the hotel and were ready to leave.
After they exited the building, Gary drove over and prepared to put their luggage in the trunk.
It was also then that Flynt got out of the car and walked toward them.
Just as the luggage was stowed away, Celeste saw Flynt. After a second of a stump, she called to him, "Flynt!"
In fact, after that day at Princes Street Gardens, she called him and explained the situation to him, as well as her relationship with Gary and that they had a fight.
Flynt said nothing at the time; it was normal for couples to quarrel.
"Celeste." Flynt nodded slightly, looking at her as he said, "Are you two leaving already?"
"That's right." She nodded.
Meanwhile, Gary made his way over to them. Looking at him, he raised his eyebrows and possessively held Celeste in his arms by the waist.
"Mr. Quartley, what a coincidence. Are you here to send us off?" Gary asked in a rather hostile tone.
After all, love rivals never saw eye to eye.
Flynt merely glanced at Gary and said, "Celeste, why don't you get in the car first. I need to talk to your boyfriend."
Taken aback, Celeste was a little uncertain about Flynt's intentions.
However, Gary said, "Sure. Celeste, wait in the car."
