True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1463

Maria stole at glance at Liam and found that he had a very serene and gentle expression on his face.

He looked just like how he was in his posters from years ago, when he was much younger than he was then.

Finally, Maria had achieved her dream of being with him, but it all felt so surreal and she was still doubting if it was just a dream.

"Liam." She mustered her courage and wanted to confess something to him.

"Hmm?" He turned and glanced at her before swivelling his head to look back at the road. "Talk to me. I'm listening even though I'm driving."

"Well, I have something to tell you... actually, I never planned to come home this time, but when I saw you at the airport, I couldn't help but stay." Maria hesitated for a moment before she confessed the truth.

Liam was stunned, and he seemed to be thinking of something.

She had kissed him back at the airport, and her

words back then echoed in his head.

Liam figured that what Maria felt at that point in time was what he felt when he gave Celeste the jewellery.

Hence, he could empathize and understand Maria's feelings.

Maria lowered her head and whispered, "In fact, I've been suppressing my feelings for you for the past few years. I didn't want to express my love for you because I knew I was too young.

Perhaps you would think that I was just being a groupie, or you might think that I was just one of your many fans to you, and I might just be an ordinary one amongst them.

I know that you could dismiss me at a moment's notice, because you don't feel the same way about me.

That's why I didn't dare to approach you, but I couldn't help it back then.

After trying to get closer to you, you just brushed me off for a few times, and I didn't dare to proceed further. However, I really just couldn't help but to kiss you at the airport that time.

After you left, I couldn't help but to come home. Even if I might not get to see you after I come home, at least I'd be in the same place as you, and probably more time with you. I would be able to have the best chance of getting closer to you then.

Ernest helped me out with that, and I was so happy on that day when you came to pick us up."

Liam had failed to restrain himself from kissing her the other day, but he'd also said a lot of things to hurt her.

In truth, after that, he had been thinking about that situation and he could not determine how he was feeling when he had kissed her.

Furthermore, those memories flashed through his mind repeatedly.

"My parents were worried that I was too in love with you, and they were afraid that I would be hurt. However, in fact, I'm a very brave girl.

I want to tell you that I'm afraid of getting hurt, but I know that love can't be forced.

So, last night, when you asked me to be your girlfriend, I was really happy. It felt so surreal to me, and I even suspected that it was because you only said so because you felt obligated.

What I mean is that I don't want you to only be with me because you feel obligated. I want us to be together because you like me.

So, I've been thinking a lot about this all night.

When I go back to England in a few days, take some time to think whether or not you really want me to be your girlfriend.

Don't force yourself to do anything, it's not too late yet. Don't be afraid of hurting me, and please believe that I'm a tough girl. I'm not afraid of being hurt, but I just don't want you to be with me just because you feel like you have to and end up putting yourself in grievance."

Maria said all of that in one go, and she was very earnest. Hence, Liam's chest tightened at her words.

His heart ached at Maria's confession, so he turned and pulled over to a secluded area and parked by the road.

Not many cars passed by, so it was easier to talk without being interrupted.

He was not in a hurry to meet their friends at the hotel, and he felt like he needed to talk to Maria properly about what he felt.

Maria was surprised to see the car stopped and she looked at Liam in confusion. "Why'd you stop?"

Liam unbuckled his seat belt and turned his body slightly to the side, approaching Maria.

Maria immediately tensed up, and her face was full of shyness.

Liam looked at her with deep tenderness in his eyes.

He then said. "Why would you think like that?"

"Huh?" Maria looked at him in surprise. "I'm telling the truth. Didn't you ask me to tell you the truth?"

"Yes, that's true, I did say that, but you shouldn't doubt my true feelings." He looked at her seriously and said, "Maria, you're amazing."

Maria was stunned and sat up straighter.

Liam's hand reached over and gently held up her chin, making her look straight at him.

"I don't feel obligated. As I said yesterday, I feel sad that I'm unable to make you feel secure. However, let me repeat myself, I didn't say that because I feel like I owe you something or anything. I want to try, actually. I want to try because you're worth all the effort," He said seriously.

Maria was a little surprised as she never expected him to be so serious. His gaze was luminous.
