True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1594

"What secret?" Ernest asked in surprise.

Leah said with some embarrassment, "Yeah, remember how I wrote a week's worth of drafts? Actually, I am preparing to go to England."

Hearing this, Ernest was stunned. "You mean you had plans to go to England before this?"

What a surprise.

"Yeah, I've always wanted to go. I want to tour around and have some fun for a week." Leah felt awkward just looking at him.

"Are you sure it's as simple as a mere holiday?" Ernest recalled how Leah had once confessed that she fell in love with him at first sight, so he couldn't help but jokingly tease, "You wanted to see me, don't you?"

Leah mustered up all the courage she had, looked at him, and nodded.

Ernest felt his chest tighten as his gaze trembled.

"This silly girl."

Leah then continued, "Well, I told you I fell in love with you at first sight. I really miss you, but you don't seem like the affectionate type. So, I thought

I'd head up to London and remind you of my existence."

"To be honest, I didn't know how you felt. I can't tell if you like me or not. But either way, I know I like you, and I want to see you. I just want to give it my all while I can."

"Unfortunately, I got sick so I didn't manage to go. But then you came back for the funeral. I guess it's fate."

Ernest reached out to pull Leah into his arms. He hugged her tightly and sighed deeply. "I'm sorry, Leah!"

"Why are you apologizing?" Leah asked in confusion.

"Honestly, I've been wanting to contact you for a while now. But every time I thought about doing so, I didn't know what to say. I was afraid of being too attracted to you," Ernest said seriously.

Leah probably had no idea at all. She had a sort of charm about her that easily attracted the eyes of many.

She looked up at his handsome face and smiled gently. "Me too. I always look at my phone, but you've never sent me a text. Thankfully, it's fine now. Can we video call everyday from now on?"

"Of course, we must," Ernest said genuinely before continuing, "At any time, no matter the hour, even if I'm asleep, you can call me whenever you miss me."

"This girlfriend's treatment really is nice," Leah exclaimed. "If I had known earlier, I would've confessed to you long ago. Now I've wasted a precious few months' time."

Ernest chuckled. "Well, I guess that's just our destiny."

"That's true. If I had confessed earlier, maybe you would have been afraid of me," Leah stuck out her tongue shyly.

The two of them talked on and on. It was a very joyous exchange of conversation. Both of them understood each other's thoughts and emotions.

Meanwhile, Hogan dejectedly returned home from Leah's. As soon as he reached the staircase to his building, he saw a slender figure with a big backpack squatting by the entrance.

She was a very pitiful and lonely looking girl.

He was quite taken aback and asked softly, "Rowane, why are you here?"
