True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1608

As Maria studied Liam carefully, she noticed that his handsome face showed the vicissitudes of life that belied his age.

How hard it must have been for him during this period of time. A failed career is something that hits a man's ambition hard. He must have lost all his confidence. Maria thought to herself, her heart aching.

Noticing the pain in her eyes, he turned and gave her a reassuring smile. "Don't look at me as if I'm someone weak."

Maria was flustered. Then, she smiled in an embarrassed way. "I don't think you're weak. I've always thought of you as a capable person. Truly."

Liam saw how serious she was, and he could not help but laugh.

With everything that had happened, he was grateful to have Maria as his girlfriend. During the quiet of the night when he was alone, just thinking of her warmed the cockles of his heart.

And when he was with Maria, his smile was more relaxed.

When they arrived at the car, Liam did not see any driver. He asked in surprise, "Did you drive here alone?"

Maria nodded. "Yes. I have a driver's license anyway, and I really want to stay a little longer with you. I didn't want the driver to be the third wheel. That's why I drove here on my own."

Liam placed his suitcase into the back of the car and said, "Give me the keys. Let me drive."

Maria handed them to him at once. "I didn't intend on driving back anyway. Go ahead."

As Liam took the keys, he seized the chance to hold Maria's hand. Then, he murmured with a doting expression, "Be careful when you drive alone, okay?"

"I know. I'm careful, and I don't dare to drive fast at all." Maria smiled and said, "Don't worry. My skills aren't that bad. My dad was worried about me driving alone as well, which was why he had the driver follow me whenever I drove. Now, he feels confident enough to let me drive alone."

"Okay," Liam replied as he opened the door to the passenger seat for her to get in.

After Maria got into the car, Liam looked around to make sure that there were no reporters following them. Only then did he walk over to the driver's side.

As the two of them sat in the car, Maria looked at Liam with a smile. With her lips swollen from their passionate kiss and her pearly white teeth, she looked particularly adorable.

Upon seeing this, his heart skipped a beat, and he immediately leaned over to kiss her.

His yearning for her was so strong that Maria could feel the surging of his inner desires through the kiss.

After the two of them kissed for a long time, Liam leaned his forehead against Maria's and asked her softly, "Did you miss me? We haven't seen each other for a long time, so did you miss me?"

His voice was low and hoarse, emitting a strong sense of flirtation that tickled her eardrums and made her heart race.

She nodded fervently, her eyes closed.

She had missed him so much that even having him by her side right then felt like a dream.

She had not expected him to come to England to see her.

It was truly unexpected.

She looked at him with deep affection in her eyes and bravely admitted her feelings. "I missed you very much. I missed you every day and every night. I nearly flew back today to see you. If Celeste hadn't told me that you were coming to

London, I would've probably sneaked back already."

Liam was taken aback, thinking how fortunate it was that he had bumped into Celeste. It was also fortunate that she had secretly told Maria that he was coming here to see her.

Otherwise, the two of them would not have been able to meet up.

"I bumped into Celeste while I was at the airport waiting for my flight and we got to chatting," Liam explained. "I wanted to give you a surprise and told her not to tell you, but she told you anyway. Well, it's a good thing that she did. Otherwise, we wouldn't have been able to meet up."

"Did you miss me?" Maria looked up and asked him.

"I missed you a lot," Liam murmured, taking Maria's hand and pulling her toward him. Maria immediately reached out and placed her hand on his chest to steady herself.

She had a shocked expression on her face, almost as if she had been scalded. She looked up at Liam in disbelief.

He, he was... It was too frightening. Maria thought to herself.

She was too embarrassed to look at him, but she knew that he was telling her how much he missed her with his actions.

Liam's handsome face turned red as he looked at Maria. "Words can't express how much I missed you. I missed you so, so much. I want you to feel how much I missed you."

Maria blushed, feeling a little embarrassed. She wanted to withdraw her hand, but Liam was grabbing it firmly.

Maria dared not look at him. She lowered her gaze, her eyelashes fluttering. Seeing her shy expression, Liam let out a ragged breath. He immediately blurted out, "Shall we go to a hotel?"

Maria was taken aback, but she instantly understood what he meant.
