True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1618

At that moment, Liam's manager was eating with Ralph and Teresa. Ralph had his arm around Teresa's shoulders, their behavior intimate and flirtatious.

Although Teresa sat stiffly, she still continued to drink with Ralph.

That was the scene that greeted Zachary when he walked through the door.

He frowned and asked coldly, "Which one of you here is Liam's manager?"

Johnny immediately stood up, surprised to see Zachary. "Mr. Lowe, that would be me. I'm Johnny Ross. What brings you here?"

Ralph was also shocked to see Zachary, and he stood up as well. "You're Mr. Lowe, aren't you? Why are you here?"

Zachary looked at them, pursed his lips, and said, "I'm here to talk to Liam's manager."

Johnny quickly replied, "Mr. Lowe, what can I do for you?"

"I have doubts in your ability as Liam's manager," Zachary said in a low voice. "I wish to ask, are you running an entertainment company or a nightclub?"

Johnny was shocked.

At that moment, Betty came in. Her expression instantly changed when she saw Zachary.

Everyone turned to look at her.

Even Ralph.

"Mr. Lowe, it was my fault," Betty said. "Please leave. Let's not mention this anymore."

"You want me to stop mentioning it?" Zachary glanced at Johnny. "Mr. Ross, when will Liam's contract expire?"

"There are more than two years left in Liam's contract. Nearly three years, in fact," Johnny answered.

"How much will it take for me to terminate this contract of his with you?" asked Zachary.

Johnny was shocked. He looked at Zachary in astonishment. "Mr. Lowe, do you mean that you want to terminate Liam's contract?"

"Why not?" Zachary retorted.

When he saw how well Liam maintained his integrity despite being insulted, he could tell that Liam was ambitious. Therefore, it would be better for him to intervene sooner rather than later.

"I don't call the shots," Johnny said. "Besides, if you want to do so, the legal fees and contract termination fees will probably cost a bomb."

"Really? Then, go back and tell your boss that I, Zachary Lowe, will get my professional lawyer team to help Liam terminate his contract with you," Zachary said calmly.

Zachary did not seem to be the least bit intimidated by Johnny's threats.

On the contrary, Johnny was frightened upon hearing Zachary's decision.

Even Teresa's jaw dropped in surprise as she stared at Zachary.

With that, Zachary turned around and left.

Teresa came back to her senses and immediately exclaimed in a low voice, "Mr. Lowe, please wait for a moment."

By then, Zachary had already gone out.

Teresa hurried after him.

Zachary stood in the corridor reluctantly and looked at Teresa, frowning. He seemed to remember seeing her on television before, but since he had no interest in the entertainment industry, he could not remember who she was.

Teresa walked over and said, "Mr. Lowe, may I have a word with you?"

Recalling how Ralph had his arm around her just a moment ago, Zachary did not respond to her politely.

"What do you want to say?" he asked coldly.

"Mr. Lowe, I want to talk to you about Liam."

Zachary's expression remained calm. "What do Liam's matters have to do with you?"

"Mr. Lowe, I'm Teresa Trevino. You must have heard of me," Teresa replied, hinting at the fact that she was a celebrity in the entertainment industry.

"I'm sorry. I'm not a fan of celebrities, so I really don't know who you are," Zachary said honestly. However, Teresa felt like he was mocking her.

She was both surprised and embarrassed.

"Mr. Lowe, you're a prominent figure and a busy man. It's normal that you don't remember a mere celebrity like me. But, Mr. Lowe, it'll not be easy for you to terminate Liam's contract. I heard that his company is deliberately suppressing him because they want to back him into a corner."

"So?" Zachary already knew about that.

Teresa ignored Zachary's curt reply and looked at him worriedly. "So, I don't think it'll be so easy to terminate the contract. If his management company is not willing to release him from his contract, it'll be a blow to Liam. Not only will he have failed to terminate his contract, but his reputation will also be tarnished. I'm really worried about Liam. Mr. Lowe, if you can help him terminate the contract, that would be great."
