True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1621

Liam had given his heart to Maria. When he thought of everything she had done for him, he felt so touched. He was so touched by her actions that he did not know how he could repay her.

If Liam let Maria down, it would be the biggest mistake of his life. Liam thought to himself.

In life, the most fearsome thing was when one was so greedy that they did not know what they truly wanted.

"Don't be stubborn. I never liked you. We were classmates, and that's all well ever be," Liam said. "There's a girl that I like. She's a wonderful and righteous girl."

Shocked, Teresa choked out, "Liam, are you saying that I'm tainted?"

Liam did not want to hurt her. However, at that moment, he knew that she could only wake up from her fantasies by being hurt by the truth.

"That's right. You're so tainted that you make me utterly speechless," he said ruthlessly. His voice was as cold as ice, and Teresa felt a chill in her heart.

With that, Liam turned around and left.

Left alone in the room, Teresa felt an overwhelming sadness crash over her, and she cried for a long time.

It did not take long for Liam to drive back.

He felt like he needed to go back at once to be with Maria. He wanted to hug her and tell her how much he loved her.

With a heart full of longing, distress, and pity, Liam opened the door to his apartment.

The first thing he saw was Maria watching the robot vacuum do its job. She stood with her hands on her hips, which made her look like an inspector.

The robot vacuum played music as it went about its business, creating an atmosphere that was cheerful and upbeat.

Maria looked up and she saw Liam. When their eyes met, her face broke into a smile. "Why are you back so soon?"

Liam walked up to her quickly and embraced her. Then, he lowered his head and kissed her on the lips.

His actions were extremely fast and passionate.

Maria was momentarily taken aback. She looked at Liam in a daze, not knowing what she should do.

She tilted her head slightly, then waited for the right opportunity to ask, "What's wrong?"

Sightly breathless, Liam murmured, "I missed you."

"It has only been a few hours," Maria teased with a smile.

Liam looked at Maria with a warm gaze. He felt that he should not hide what had happened earlier from her.

Although Mr. Lowe told him not to tell Maria about it yet, Liam felt that he should be frank.

Sooner or later, everyone would find out that he had brought Maria back from England.

And when that happened, it would affect everyone's impression of him.

After pondering for a moment, he finally said, "I met your parents and Aunt Smith today."

"What? You met them? Did they talk to you?" Maria immediately got nervous. "Did they find out about anything?"

"They don't know that you're back," Liam assured her. "But, Maria, a lot of things happened today.

We need to talk right now."

"All right. Let's talk." Maria could tell that Liam was being very serious, so she looked at him seriously

too. "I'm listening."

The two of them sat down on the sofa, then Liam told her about everything that had happened.

Maria was not surprised by Zachary's persistence to help. However, she was furious about Betty wanting to take advantage of him.

"Madam Cruise is too much. She's old enough to be my grandmother already, yet she still wants to take advantage of you. Who does she think she is?"

Seeing how angry Maria was, Liam replied, "That woman is really too shameless."

Maria looked at him. Her eyes were a little red. "For real, though. How could she be so shameless?"

"There, there. Don't be angry," Liam said soothingly. "She's free to think whatever she wants. What's important is my attitude."

Maria nodded. "Even though you're right, I still can't believe that they bullied you. I finally understand why my dad made a move. He probably couldn't stand it anymore."

"Don't you blame your father?" Liam asked.

"No way. I'd blame him if he didn't help," Maria replied. "Oh, now that you know about my secret, I don't have anything to hide it from you anymore. I'm serious about wanting to be your manager after I graduate. Would you like that?" "Silly girl, you can do whatever you want," Liam said, gently ruffling her hair. "But now, we need to go back to your house. We can't keep it from your parents anymore."
