True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1642

Monica nodded. "Okay, don't come back. We'll go to Switzerland to see you."

"You and Sinclair?" Cindy asked with a smile.

Monica nodded again. "Yes, I'll go with him. Is there any need to explain what's going on with the three of us?"

Cindy smiled without saying anything.

"If I'd known you would react like this, I would've just come clean. That would have saved you a lot of heartaches. See? Didn't we have a great time last night?" Monica said as she took another puff of her cigarette.

Cindy narrowed her eyes. "Be honest. You still love Sinclair, don't you? You married Michael, but you still love Sinclair."

Monica was stunned and cast her gaze downwards. "There's no such thing as love in our industry. Do you really believe in it?"

"I don't. If I did, why would I have engaged in so many sexual favors? I don't believe in love, but I believe that you love Sinclair. You've sacrificed a lot for him." Cindy turned to look at Monica and added, "Frankly, you supported me only because of Sinclair. You've done everything for him, but he neglected you."

Monica's eyes gleamed as she said, "I let Michael down too. That's just the way life is. There's no need to take it so seriously."

"Michael will probably have a hard time in the future. He's a man who prizes his dignity above everything else, but I ruined him." Regret flashed in Cindy's eyes as she mentioned Michael.

Monica frowned and thought carefully about what Cindy said. Did Cindy mean that Michael would suffer as long as Monica was with him? Monica thought to herself.

However, there were shocking new headlines every day in their line of work. People would forget soon enough.

"He turned off his phone. I haven't been able to contact him since the news got out."

Cindy lowered her gaze and said, "Monica, Sinclair's wife is not easy to deal with."

"You mean Suanne?" Monica chuckled. "Do you really think that she doesn't know what kind of person Sinclair is? Let me tell you, she knows about what happened between me and Sinclair. She also knows that he has many other women, but she won't make a fuss. She knows it's pointless." "I can't believe Suanne knows about you two," Cindy replied with a sigh.

"She knows, but she turns a blind eye to it. There's no need to take life so seriously."

Cindy looked out the window. "I don't know what news will be released tomorrow, nor what else I should expect. Somehow, I feel a sense of accomplishment that those men are famous now because of me."

Monica frowned, then laughed. "Cindy, are you confused? We're talking about scandals, not a movie premiere."

"It's much better than a premiere." A bloodthirsty smile formed on Cindy's lips. "It's exciting, isn't it?"

Monica frowned and put out her cigarette. "I don't want to talk to you anymore. I'm going to take a bath as I have to leave later."

Cindy remained silent. While both Sinclair and Monica were in the bathroom, Cindy quietly removed the pinhole camera she had set up and went into her own bathroom.

Sinclair and Monica left soon after. Sinclair was dressed smartly in a suit, and he looked every bit the formidable business magnate he was.

Monica had also changed, and she radiated a powerful aura. There was no sign of any romantic feelings between them.

They left in separate cars, expressionless.

Then, Cindy picked up the phone and dialed a number. "Michael, they're gone. I don't think they'll be back today."

"Come over here, then." A man's voice came from over the phone.

Cindy smiled and coyly, "I'm taking a bath."

"Then, shall I go to your place and bathe with you?"

"Forget it, Michael. It's better that I go to you. If Monica returns, there's nowhere in this whole apartment building where I can hide."

"I'll carry you here then," the voice said with a smile.

Just as Cindy was about to reply, she heard a creak from the wall next to her. The wall was part of the closet next door. Then, the wall slowly began to shift.

A man in a bathrobe walked out from behind the wall.

Concealed behind the wall was a sliding door. It was so cleverly hidden that no one would be able to tell that it was a door.
