True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1652

Celeste's words startled them.

Gary lowered his head to look at her. She shook her head slightly at him, indicating that she was not afraid.

She had been a little scared at first. After all, this was the first time that she had received a phone call where someone threatened her life.

However, she composed herself quickly.

Her response made everyone in the room admire her.

It was not easy to still be able to speak rationally at such a time.

After hearing what she said, the person on the other end stopped laughing immediately. She even seemed a little flustered and cursed angrily, "B*tch, you'll surely die."

After cursing her, the person ended the call.

Celeste put down her phone, looked at Gary, and said, "It should be her."

"What a crazy woman." He gritted his teeth.

Liam frowned. "After such a large-scale scandal, she still dares to go abroad. I think she hasn't learned her lesson, so all of us should be careful in the future, especially Maria and Celeste."

Ernest nodded. "Even though she threatened Celeste, I think she hates all of us."

"I think so too," Maria said, nodding. "My father helped Liam terminate his contract, even Uncle Jones was involved in it. She's bound to take revenge on us. We need to be careful."

After thinking for a while, she added, "Let's find out where she is and confirm whether it's her or not first. After that, we'll take action."

"But, how do we know where she is?" Maria mused, thinking hard. "I don't think it'll be that easy to find her."

"Her old house," Gary replied. "Do you still remember the house Cindy bought four years ago?"

"So, you suspect that she's there?" Maria asked in surprise.

Gary nodded. "I think it's a possibility."

Liam shook his head. "No, she sold that house."

"Sold?" Maria looked at Liam in puzzlement. "But she made a lot of effort to purchase it."

"Liam, she still has the house," Gary said, giving him an unfathomable smile. "She made it publicly known that she sold it, but I know that she still has it."

"How did you know about that?" Liam asked, a little surprised.

"I hired someone to investigate her," Gary replied. "Ernest, why don't you join me to go over there and take a look?"

"No, it's too dangerous." Celeste shook her head immediately. "Don't go out."

"It's not dangerous." Gary looked at Celeste in amusement. "We'll just drive there and take a look. What's dangerous about that?"

"I'll go with you. Maria and Celeste can stay here," Liam offered.

"No. Don't go," Maria protested immediately. "Call Uncle Logan. Ask him to send someone to protect you."

"We have bodyguards," Gary answered reassuringly. "How about this? Since you girls are uneasy about it, let's go together and see what happens. Just think of it as an on- site investigation. We won't make a move."

They looked at each other.

"Let's go together then," Maria said excitedly.

After all, it would not be that scary if the five of them went together.

Cindy was in deep waters, so she might not be capable of doing much at the moment.

If she still wanted to cause trouble, then she was merely being overconfident.

Maria turned to Liam eagerly.

However, Liam was looking at Gary worriedly. "It's too dangerous to bring the two of them along. I still think it's too risky."

"What are you guys thinking?" Gary smiled and said, "We're just going to check the place out, not fight them."

"I'm going to get something," Ernest said. "I think it's better if we went together. That way, all of us can see it for ourselves and cast aside our doubts."

Then, he got up to get his drone.

Finally, they agreed to go together.

To ensure their safety and avoid suspicion, they only took one car.

Going out at night was not that big of a deal.

They headed to Cindy's villa.

"Does it have controlled access?" Liam asked as he drove. "Will we be able to drive in directly?"

"There is, but we'll be able to go straight in. I asked the butler for an access card when we left," Ernest said. "Just head straight in."

Sure enough, they were allowed in with the access card.
