On the other end, Celeste and Gary watched the four of them fighting amongst themselves, and what they said was so shocking.

Celeste was frightened.

She had a bad feeling about the child that Cindy had taken away from Yannie. Who could the child be?

Could it be her?

Cindy always looked at her with a gaze that's mixed with love and hatred. It was clear that Cindy had complicated and contradicted feelings about Celeste.

Celeste suddenly felt that her guess might be true.

Her hands and feet had turned cold because of the fright, and her palms were sweating.

Gary heard their conversation as well. With how pale Celeste looked, Gary knew that she might have started doubting her own background.

Very subtly and quietly, he reached out and grabbed Celeste's hand. He wrapped his warm palm around her cold one.

He said softly. "Celeste, don't be afraid. I'm here."

Celeste went stiff and she wanted to retract her hand, but she hesitated. In the end, she allowed Gary to hold her hand.

Her lips trembled as she spoke, "Gary, I'm worried that the kid Cindy stole is me."

Gary replied, "Don't be afraid. We can find out the truth behind this. I'll verify it for you soon, don't worry."

Celeste shook her head. "I'm not worried, I'm disgusted. I don't want that kid to be me."

She didn't want to have such a father.

How could such a shameless man without moral values be her father?

He was a mess, and she wanted no part of it.

She would rather not know about her past. At least she wouldn't be so disgusted and feel so bad.

Meanwhile, Sinclair and the others were tangled in a mess of limbs.

Sinclair pulled Cindy off of Monica and choked her. He growled, "B*tch, tell me where's my kid!"

Monica rolled to one side immediately after being freed. She finally felt better after she sat up, clutched at her throat and coughed hard.

Michael looked down at her with a piercing gaze. "Tell me what's going on!"

Monica was shocked, then she looked at Michael and said, "Yannie's death had something to do with Cindy, because Yannie was the one who loved Sinclair the most, not us. She wanted to keep the baby for Sinclair even when she was unmarried. Cindy got rid of hers after she got pregnant because she was afraid that having a baby would affect her figure. It was a girl, and Yannie's child was conceived about the same time. It was probably conceived on the same day too."

Michael sneered. "What a mess. What about you? B*tch, did you have his baby as well?"

Monica turned away and dared not look at Michael.

She kept avoiding his gaze.

Michael suddenly realized that something was fishy and he immediately grabbed Monica's chin and forced her to look at him. He said in a loud voice, "Don't avoid the question. Answer me."

"Yes, I did. I chose to terminate the pregnancy as well!" Monica shouted back.

On the other hand, Sinclair was shocked and he released Cindy after hearing Monica's shouts. His mind was suddenly a blank.

Cindy couldn't help and coughed hard after the pressure around her neck was released.

Sinclair turned around and looked at Monica. Then, he walked over and grabbed her by the shoulders. "Were you pregnant with my child?"
