After being mocked, Sinclair's expression stiffened and he looked a little embarrassed.
He looked at Heinz and smiled awkwardly. "I can't deny that at all. It's true that I can't live without women."
Heinz chuckled and looked at Sinclair. If it wasn't for the fact that he already had some insights on Sinclair, he wouldn't understand this man at all.
Heinz could never relate the gentleman standing in front of him to the shameless old man in the messy footages he saw.
However, it was the reality.
Perhaps it was because of his good looks that he got to fool around with women.
Heinz narrowed his eyes and stared at Sinclair without saying anything.
Sinclair felt like he was sitting on pins and needles as he was being judged.
He calmed himself down and asked, "Mr. Jones, may I know why you're here today?"
"I thought you would have figured that out," Heinz said lightly.
Sinclair paused and lowered his eyes. There was a hopeful glint in his eyes. He adjusted his emotions and said again, "Mr. Jones, there's something that you may not know yet."
"Oh?" Heinz raised an eyebrow and showed a playful smile. "What is it that I don't know? Is there something that even I haven't found out about yet?"
Sinclair stiffened a little. Perhaps Heinz already knew about that, but he still had to tell him.
"Yes, Mr. Jones, you are right. You will know anything you wish to know," Sinclair said, trying to flatter Heinz. "Anyway, now that you're here, I still find it necessary to tell you this. Your son's girlfriend, she's actually my daughter."
Heinz was still calm.
He knew Sinclair would be bringing it up. He knew Sinclair would use all means just to make his comeback, using all his connections.
He would use Celeste too.
He would really use everything and everyone he could to his means.
What a selfish, horrible man.
He was very disappointed in Sinclair.
Sinclair couldn't read his emotions, and he had no choice but to continue explaining shamelessly, "Celeste is my daughter. I've made some mistakes when I was younger, and I had wronged Celeste's mother. That was why Celeste had to suffer so much and even became homeless, and had to live under someone else's roof. Fortunately, she found you, Mr. Jones.
I heard that you and your wife have been treating Celeste well, and even see her as your own daughter. It's fortunate for her and I'm extremely grateful to you all."
As he spoke, he bowed deeply to Heinz.
Heinz was just looking at him indifferently. It was as if he could see right through him. He wasn't moved at all.
Sinclair raised his head and saw that Heinz had remained silent, without reacting at all.
