True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1714

When Alex heard that, he instantly realized what was in the hard drive. He thought that it was probably the adult film she had made with a couple of men previously.

In order to shoot the film, Cindy had lost her uterus and almost died.

He could not believe that she wanted him to pass this on to disgust Heinz.

Alex chuckled and said, "Cindy, I'm not your runner. You can't get me to run errands for you any time you like. I won't give this to the president."

He placed the hard drive next to her bed as he spoke.

Panic flashed across Cindy's eyes. She really wanted to show the film to Heinz, but it seemed like no one would help her pass it to him.

The only chance she had left to catch Heinz's eye was slipping through her fingers.

Cindy knew that after she recovered, she would be discharged and sent back to Northern City.

There was also the possibility that she would end up losing her freedom. If she wanted to meet

Heinz, it would probably only be possible after many years.

Even then, who knew if she would still get the chance to meet him?

Cindy composed herself and looked at Alex, provoking him by saying, "Why won't you give it to him? Are you worried that he'll get angry with you? If you don't show it to him, he may blame you for passing on this opportunity."

"Don't goad me. It won't work." He was resolute. Then, he said mockingly, "I know all your little tricks. You want to disgust the president, or perhaps you're aiming to upset his wife. I won't play into your hands."

Cindy narrowed her eyes at Alex. He had seen through her. She chuckled and did not try to hide her true intentions any longer.

"Alex, you're very loyal to Heinz, aren't you? Tell me, what do you get out of it?"

"It's not something someone like you could understand." Alex smiled faintly and turned to leave.

Panicking, she hurriedly yelled, "Wait!"

Alex turned around and looked at her from a distance without saying anything.

Cindy pursed her lips and asked, "What do you need me to do to help me with this? As long as you help me pass this to Heinz, I'll do anything you ask."

"I want you to return to Northern City and spend the rest of your life in prison," he answered with a laugh, sounding very spiteful.

Cindy frowned. "Alex, I haven't done anything to offend you, right? I've never done anything to hurt you, so why do you hate me?"

"I'm loyal to the Jones family. I've worked for them for years, so it goes without saying that I've come to care deeply about them. I want to lessen President Jones' burdens. I know you haven't done anything to offend me, but you're really a menace. I find your behavior repulsive and disgusting, so I can't help but despise you."

Cindy wanted Alex to bring the hard drive to Heinz as soon as possible, so she asked again, "You really won't help me?"

However, Alex adamantly refused.

"I won't. I won't change my mind." After saying that, Alex walked up to her and picked up the hard drive on the bed.

Cindy was stunned. She looked at Alex in surprise, thinking that he had suddenly changed his mind.

But she was left disappointed.

Alex picked up the hard drive and threw it onto the ground.

The hard drive shattered to pieces.

Cindy gasped in shock. "You've gone too far! That was mine! What right do you have to break it?"

She looked down at the broken hard drive, her heart also shattered. That was the only thing she had in her possession that could possibly change Heinz's opinion about her.

But Alex destroyed just like that.

Unable to contain herself, she yelled hysterically at him, "Alex, are you crazy?"

Alex chuckled. "Not as crazy as you. You have too many crazy thoughts in your head. I had to destroy it to knock some sense into you. Stop dreaming about the impossible."

Alex made sure to step on the broken mess as he turned to leave.

When Cindy saw that Alex was still walking away, she anxiously yelled out, "Do you think that I won't be able to get Heinz to see the film just because you've destroyed this? There are still lots of ways. I have copies of it! No matter what, I'm going to show Heinz the film! I swear on my life!"

Alex could not help but frown at her words.

Frowning, he turned to one of the bodyguards outside the ward who was keeping watch over Cindy and asked, "Who has been visiting her at the hospital recently?"

"Only the hospital staff. Is there something wrong,
