True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1716

Cindy was shocked by her reflection in the mirror, and she wondered when she had turned so haggard.

She had once been so beautiful and gorgeous.

But now she was ugly and old.

Her smooth skin was gone. It was now dull and wrinkled and had lost its luster.

Her black hair, which was once so beautiful that she could have starred in a shampoo advertisement, was in a mess and clung to her head like dried leaves. There was a bunch of gray hairs growing on her temples as well.

She could not believe that she had gray hair.

It was a sign of rapid aging.

She found it hard to believe that she looked like that.

With the gray hair, she seemed to have aged a few decades.

She did not want to admit that the woman in the mirror was her.

How could that ugly, disgusting-looking woman be

Cindy? Cindy thought to herself.

She had always been a bombshell.

But the woman looking back at her through the mirror was an old woman. How could that be?

Cindy shook her head in denial, shock and fear in her eyes.

She could not believe it.

There was no way that the woman in the mirror was her.

Celeste did not speak, but her gaze was fixed on Cindy's every move. She could see the change in Cindy once she realized how haggard she really looked.

Although Cindy did not say anything, her repulsion toward her own reflection in the mirror was obvious.

Cindy looked deeply terrified by what she saw.

It turned out that the thing that could hurt Cindy and make her feel fearful was not a person. It seemed that she had no place for anyone in her heart.

She only cared about her appearance.

Cindy's greatest fear was aging. She was terrified of the old, haggard woman that she had become.

However, growing old was inevitable. Everyone would age no matter what they did.

Everyone would grow old. No one could remain young forever.

Celeste looked into Cindy's teary eyes and saw that she was truly devastated. For a moment, Celeste pitied her.

After a long while, Celeste spoke once more. "There's no way to get back your youth. The old woman you see in the mirror is how you look now. If you walk down the streets looking like that, do you think you'll be able to catch any man's eye?"

"Stop talking!" Cindy shook her head, shaking like a leaf. She refused to listen.

She had always been in the limelight. If she was on the red carpet, the paparazzi would surely point their cameras at her. Many men tried to chat her up, making her feel as if she was the most beautiful woman on the planet.

She used to be a hot topic for discussion everywhere, and she would hear praises about herself all the time.

Every movie she starred in was a hit, and she had signed many endorsement deals.

Many companies wanted her to endorse their products. She had always been a beautiful and sexy woman, and no one was her match. Therefore, she could not believe that she had become so old.

She could not recognize the person in the mirror.

Cindy shuddered and quickly threw the mirror away.

The mirror landed on the bed and reflected the light in the room. Cindy was temporarily blinded by the bright glare.

She had to shut her eyes. It felt as if the mirror was mocking her stupidity.

She shook her head again and reached out to smooth her hair with shaky hands,

Celeste seized the opportunity to say, "Not only will no man pay any attention to you, but you'll be a disgusting sight even from a distance. In the future, you won't be considered a beauty. Everyone will think of you as an ugly, outdated actress."

After that, Celeste took out her phone and took a few pictures of Cindy, then showed them to her while sneering. "If I send these ugly photos of you and that film of yours to the media, your reputation in the entertainment industry will be ruined. You'll be infamous as the ugliest, most shameless actress in film history."

Her words left Cindy dumbfounded.
